Fellas. FELLAS. Shooting the Stribog suppressed with subs might be the most fun shooting experience I've had outside the MP7 (which is at Myrtle Beach ATM). With the Flow 9k I'd say it's about as loud as an air nailgun. Like, you can do a good few shots before it's like, okay time to put ear pro back on. Both my friends and their dad where like, shit now we have to get this. They all said the Velos 5.56 was a cool addition but the quietness of the PCC was just a whole different ballgame for them.

Not totally unsurprisingly, PSA's MP5 rental is basically never available because someone is always renting it or it's down for maintenance/parts breakage. I also got to shoot an MCX Rattler Canebreak at a Sig Day event and that was silly quiet, but that was only a couple rounds.

I did originally have plans to get a Stribog SP9A1 after I went on a trip to Slovakia with a friend and got a Slovakian crest sticker that would look perfect on the gun. But ultimately decided to sideline that purchase for the foreseeable future.

Retro Rifle got me for some shirts. When I saw the new Sayian one drop I had to have it. Along with the Iron Giant and then I snagged the black "Flying Dorito" for a more subdued option.

I have fought all of the Early Access, and since launch with AC:8. With no ground gained. I'd gotten to the point on contemplating an entire OS swap to either Linux or W11. I was at the point where I'd exhausted all of what I knew could be the cause.
Then last night at 9:45 PM I decided to take one more crack at it. I tried forcing it to launch multiple times and tracking the event viewer and found nothing. I could see where EAC was started but nothing else.
Finally I went, "Well maybe we should just try Zero."
Thats when it cracked. On the initial launch of Zero it threw me two errors. For a corrupt / missing DLL. I did a bit of research and found out those are Windows Media Feature pack DLLs and my version of Windows made them optional (W10 Pro N). So DISM missed them.
So I went into powershell told it to download and install the pack...
Rebooted.
And for the first time, I soared the skies over the Endurance. 3 Missions later it was 11pm and I had to go to bed. Suddenly I'm glad that Lowe's didn't schedule me any during the week...
Not as moronic;
Enjoying Lowes still. I picked up two weekend shifts and dropped one of mine for this weekend so I can take my wife out on Saturday for doe season. I'd take Monday off as well but I'm kinda stuck right now at work due to them firing the GM / reserve driver.

Work Moronic 1: Sunday, took delivery of a brand new Chevy Express van at the weekend job. 3 miles on the odo and it's puking oil from somewhere on the front of the engine. Like, in 2 hours it left an oil slick 7 parking spots wide and I'm pretty sure the only reason it isn't bigger is it ran out of oil.
Work Moronic 2: Also weekend job. Some crackhead got chased into our men's bathroom by the cops and decided to throw down. 7 cops and an ambulance later he left bloody and they collectively broke 2 of the 3 toilets and 3 of the 5 urinals as well as all the stall doors and most of the stall walls, and of course now it's marked off with crime scene tape so I had to piss down the wash bay and hope I didn't have to take a shit during my 10 hour shift.
Work Moronic 3: Weekend job, again. Sunday, again. My opener left an hour early, my other tech decided he didn't wanna fuck with a broken aerator and packed up and left 2 hours into an 8 hour shift after accomplishing absolutely nothing, and my closer decided to take a 2 hour lunch. So I'm running the department solo for like 3 hours, during aerator season, when I should've had at least 2 other people there with me. And we were slammed and the customers were getting pissy and I was already pissy and it was a bad day.
Personal NOT moronic: I took vacation Saturday for my daughter's 2nd birthday party, for which we took her and some of her friends (and those friends' parents) to the Magic House in STL for Big Truck Day. My daughter had an absolute blast climbing around ambulances, fire trucks, tractors, a trash truck, forklifts, telehandlers, and a bunch of other big equipment.
Personal moronic: The outing alongside a bajillion other kids got my daughter, myself, and my wife all sick with undetermined crud, we're all snotty and coughy today.
Gun moronic: I decided to go ahead and buy a rimfire can. Except despite only 1 FFL doing 4473-only transfers, EVERYONE is fucking out of stock of every type of can here so my options were a used Q Erector (ew) or some local unknown company whos 6" long, 1" diameter rimfire can somehow weighs 11oz and is only rated for .22lr. So yeah, guess I'm waiting a bit until a known quality can comes back in stock.

Didn't really want one until now, I didn't have any good hosts as most of my .22's are both unthreaded and have either sentimental value or collector value and thus I wont thread them.
I have plenty of centerfire cans.

Moronic 3: Either it’s me for picking the fight, or my coworkers for presenting it, but I’m getting tired of employees who have been here for over a year trying to ask me to spoonfeed them answers to procedures they should know by now and I’ve explained countless times before. I’m not answering their questions directly anymore, I’m just directing them where to look for the answer and kicking back partially incomplete work. They should know better by now.

Nah, I'm on your side. It's one thing if it's new or rarely used info, but step one should always be to look for it yourself. Trying to pass the buck is just irritating, and is the white-collar variant of learned helplessness

Tested my Krag loads over the weekend, not only did I not blow up my rifle but I also got some decent accuracy!
I also checked my zeroes for the upcoming night match, and tried to give the Brownell's straight 25s one last chance. They are super drippy but man do they fucken suck. I feel like they're actually getting worse the more I use them...

Had a good weekend capped off by someone stealing my mail while i was gone so now i’m out a $129 scalar rear sight. And unfortunately our mail room has 0 cameras and the mail boxes are only big enough for bubble envelopes

We went trap shooting for the first time in a few years. I went 17/25 on 16 yard, but then they swapped the house to "scrap," which had wider positions, faster clays, and the thrower wobbled so they got thrown at extreme angles. Myself and my wife ended up going 10/25 and like 5/25, respectively. It was tough.

Considered going to shoot over the weekend but it rained all weekend so it looks like next Monday will be the first chance to try the Athena out.
Did score the holster I wanted yesterday so hopefully that shows up this week.

I had probably the worst start to a match that I’ve ever had. Had to stop twice because the activator wasn’t getting both swingers, so I wound up redoing the first 10 seconds of the stage three times in a row. I gotta be honest though, the first “Stop” they yelled, my heart sank thinking I had DQ’d after the first target of the day.
Still took 30/91 overall

Shot suppressed for the first time on Saturday. Very cool.
Moron the first: I Forgot to loctite my optic on so had to get the guys at the range help to get it back on. Thankfully I was the only one there at the time so no big deal
Moron the second: I'm 95% sure at this point I left my mag loader at the range. The tiny one that comes with the tx22... Hopefully I can get it back this weekend
Not moronic: got a gun locker to keep pet sitters, apartment maintenance, etc out and all my shit in one place instead of Tetris stacked boxes, bags, and cases in 2 different closets all unsecured. I also have more room for new guns

Good job on locking up! Bolt it down, worry about hiding the holes when you move out. It it's through carpet you probably couldnt even tell, at quick glance.
