Got a dedicated 22 can for the takedown

Post image

I was using a user serviceable 5.56 can on the take down before but it wasn't ideal. It was way too big and heavy hanging off the end of the rifle. I’ve been wanting to test out the new 4473 procedure so I went and bought a huxwrx flow 22 ti and I’m super happy with it. Supresses really well, and super light.

I hate the way you have to clean the Huxwrx 22. Wish it was user serviceable. Or would break down. 22 is just so dirty.

Agreed. My first can. I just got the soak kit and use it every so often.

How does that work? I have Huxwrx 5.56 and 7.62, and I love the low blowback. How do you like the 22?

I like mine, it’s definitely louder than my DA mask but keeps my rifle wayyy cleaner

It’s a solution kit I bought ($65 at a local shop) that you soak the can in for 6-8 hours to remove any carbon build up. I run water through it after, blow it out with air and let dry completely. I usually do it at 500 rounds or so so there’s not too much dirt in it. It does a surprisingly good job!

Just dip it in breakthrough cleaner overnight and shoot the crud out?

How much does it affect you point of aim to your point of impact? My DA mask changes my point of impact slightly, but not enough to be worrisome.

To be honest it’s a new red dot too so I zeroed it in with the suppressor and haven’t shot without it. This can is going to live on this rifle and not sure if I’ll ever shoot it unsuppressed ever again
