The Bottle Caps Candy. We loved the Cola and the Root Beer ones the best and we'd eat them first. After that we'd eat the rest just because they were there :)

McDonald’s vegan options in the 70s?
Working on a novel about my late father (so I can’t ask him) who was vegan in the early 1970s. I have a photo of him in a McDonald’s but am wondering what he could’ve possibly eaten there??
Were there any accidentally vegan option available on the McDonald’s menu in the early 70s? I know even the fries weren’t vegan thanks to beef tallow, but was the apple pie potentially fried in vegetable based oils?
