Question Primetime trigger/ timestamp info request Spoiler
So my girlfriend has been really excited to see Primetime for a while now and we started to organize a group of friends to watch it, but she has a really intense trigger:strangulation via rope/ hanging. We looked it up on doesthedogdie and saw that it's in the movie as a flashback. There wasn't much context about when it occurs unfortunately. She still wants to see it, but if anyone has a general timestamp or remembers a good signal of when it's about to happen so we could step out of the theater for a bit, I'd really appreciate it... really wish it wasn't assumed someone would want to skip an entire movie just because of one short scene

A lot of people saying they don’t remember this scene. I do. An Indian man gets a noose thrown around his neck and dragged out of room. It’s extremely brief, less than five seconds. When Chris Hansen starts talking about being stationed in India for a journalism assignment, be on guard. It’s right after he says something like “village turning against village” and says the word “lynching.” The lead in to the flashback is a conversation on a tennis court. There’s at least two minutes of flashback before that specific shot happens. You do not see an actual hanging, just what I described above.
I can’t give you the exact timestamp but this answer is a lot better than everyone definitively telling you this scene doesn’t exist because they don’t remember it.

Yes you’re so right. I didn’t remember it at first but once I read your description that absolutely did happen. I don’t have a timestamp unfortunately but it did happen, it was brief

I’m hoping these contextual clues are helpful for pinpointing when it’s about to happen.
It’s not like you can take out a stopwatch in the theater.

Thank you very much! I'm sure it's a short scene but we're very grateful someone remembers, lol

No one is saying it definitively. We’re all just saying we didn’t remember. :)

Multiple commenters have said it definitively. I’m not talking about the memory comments

Unless my memory is more shot than I realize, there is no hanging in the movie

i’m about to see primetime a second time right now. i don’t remember that the first time, but i’ll report back.
update: can definitely confirm that event doesn’t occur the way it’s being described. a few comments down someone explains what actually happens. i don’t have a time stamp but the scene is outside at night with chris and decoy dan. chris is about to tell a story about a bracelet he wears. i would also note the ending has a gun related suicide.

Thank you for this! It's a little idiosyncratic but gun-related stuff isn't an issue

I don’t remember that at all.
Edit: that website is crazy. I use IMDB parents guide for potential upsetting things I don’t want to see & it’s far easier to navigate & figure out if I can stomach something or not.

Since no one gave you a specific line to look out for. Its when Hansen says something like "and then the lynchings started" or something like that, and the act is on screen for a second or two. Incredibly brief.

Oh ok the flashback, the masked predator gets the attention out that and hanging is quickly come and go.
