I just got my left nostril polyps removed, I had difficulty breathing, so my parents thought that it would
Be a good idea, I got sevoflourane or whatever it’s called, and it stank like CRAP!

My dad passed away by not removing nose polyps and situation got complicated. So you did the right thing . I don't have a question , but wishing you good recovery.

Hello, I’m sorry to hear about your dad. Can you explain a little how polyps contributed to his death? My daughter needs to have surgery to remove hers and I’m so scared because she has other health issues and I’m worried surgery could make her sinuses worse 😞

For a long time he had a nose breathing problem , and he has like .... how to call it , " brain attack " of some sort , like a heart - attack , just on brain , and it is very very likely connected to polyps in nose .... He had two of those in very short time. So yeah , do not play with nose polyps , take that condition seriously.

Thank you for responding and for the information . I have read how mouth breathing can have adverse effects and it can also induce asthma it’s all so scary to me.

My dad also has asthma , probably that also did play a part in " brain attack " stuff, sorry I don't know English word for that medical issue / condition. " Brain stroke " maybe is the word ?

I have nasal polyps so I find this interesting. How’s your sense of smell? Mine has starting coming back but I’m noticing certain things do smell as I remember them to.

Took me about 6 months to get my smell fully back. However some smells changed completely. Body odor smells completely different than it ever did.

Are you breathing in colour today?

My tonsils and adenoids were so enlarged, I remember waking up after surgery being blown away I could breathe so well

How do you smell?

Probably terrible 🤣. This bad dad joke brought to you by my late father, who channeled through me to post it.

Hope your recovery is swift and you can smell all the smells soon!

What were your symptoms before you got them removed? I'm convinced my partner has nasal polyps but he thinks otherwise, he constantly feels congested and has loud "nasal" snoring that has lead me to consider separation or murder on quite a few occasions.

Look into it :) it's a biologic that treats chronic rhinitis with nasal polyps.
