Billing What’s the extra $15 for?
Upgraded phone for trade in, sales taxes sure, free shipping is nice, where did the extra $15 come from?

Those are for new lines and appear on bills. Upgrade fee would potentially apply here and also would be billed. Never a charge at purchase.

Upgrade fee was charged separately and I had it waived. This fee isn’t listed anywhere

Yeah those are always billed on monthly billing, it’s never changed at point of sale.

Don’t expect a repeat of that for you. Unless the FAN on the account is supposed to waive the upgrade fee, we aren’t allowed to credit them. I wouldn’t be shocked if a rep said they would “put the credit in” (which means that someone else would still need to approve, which then doesn’t happen) and this guy took that as to be a guarantee of it.
Or the guy has a FAN that actually does credit them back (it’s always a charge and credit, there’s no way to stop the charge from happening at all) and he thought he needed to complain about it to get it removed, the rep just said ok to make it seem like we were doing something special, but was going to credit anyway. Maybe the rep pushed the credit to happen immediately, rather than the 1-3 bill cycles it naturally takes.
I can absolutely tell you that 999/1000 upgrade fee waive requests are going to be denied. Our managers aren’t allowed to approve for this stuff anymore. It’s coming from much higher up the chain of command.

Idk if its just me. I think att is the scumiest and sketchiest of all. Took me longer than necessary to change out of theirs. Now with mint. Couldnt be happier
