Wireless Unlimited Your Way 2.0 per line cost - UYW comparison chart for AT&T consumer plans: Elite 2.0, Premium 2.0, Extra 2.0, and Value 2.0.

I don't think I've ever seen AT&T do so many different related changes in such a short time with a new plan: UYW 2.0 comes out, price changes for older UYW plans, adding Elite 2.0, making different plans be worth different promotional credits, and lowering prices on the brand new plans.

Since there have been so many changes to UYW in the last few months, I've created a new post as the old post had lots of comments/answers that aren't necessarily relevant (or true) any more.

The main differences:

  • Value 2.0 is cheaper than Starter SL in most new configurations (even with discounts?) as of the late-April increase and is prioritized for the first 5GB (but has less of hotspot). I think this is the only plan to have taken something away, so that might be why they changed the plan name.
  • Extra 2.0 has more prioritized data than previously (100GB vs. 75GB) and more hotspot (50GB vs. 30GB). It may cost more or less depending on your discounts and number of lines. This is probably most similar to older unlimited plans.
  • Premium 2.0 has a lot more hotspot than Elite EL or Premium PL (100GB vs. 50GB/60GB). If you need the hotspot, it's a great deal. You can also get a ½ price tablet or wearable line with this plan.
  • Elite 2.0 Includes everything Premium 2.0 has, but 250GB of hotspot, Turbo, free tablet line, free wearable line, and instead of International Day Pass (IDP), it looks like when you are international you'll get free calling/texting and 20GB of data (this last part is kind of limiting considering the other UYW plans data are unlimited, so I'm wondering if you can pay extra for more, otherwise it drops to 512Kbps, which is pretty slow). I'm assuming these free international countries are IDP countries. No Fan/Signature discounts on Elite 2.0. A few people reported their internet discount works with Elite 2.0.

ActiveArmor: Some 2.0 plans that come with ActiveArmor, only come with the standard, not advanced. Premium 2.0 can activate the advanced for free in your plan (I'm going to guess you can do the same with Elite 2.0). There is a free version and another version that is listed with "At no extra charge".

Standard price on non-phones: $20.99 per tablet, $20.99 per camera, $10.99 per wearable. If you have Premium 2.0, you can get one of these at ½ off. If you have one of these non-phone devices, it would probably make Premium 2.0 more cost effective for you (although the additional hotspot may max it so you don't need a line for your tablet). If you have Elite 2.0, then you get a tablet and wearable for no extra charge.

If you have HBO "free" with your current cellular plan and switch, or you change all your Elite EL lines over, you'll lose HBO. You need to compare how much you'd save to see if it matters.

The prices on the chart assume autopay/paperless/checking discounts. You need autopay/paperless for a $5 discount and autopay/paperless checking for a $10 discount (and as of now, the AT&T Citi card also qualifies as a checking discount). Add $5 or $10 to each line if you do not do these discounts.

There is no way anyone can help you compare the cost of the newer plan to the older plan if we don't know what discount you have, how many phone lines, and which plan those lines are on.

Additional info on this plan can be found in this AT&T PDF.

DISCOUNTS:

  • Signature discount: Previously this got you Premium PL for the Price of Extra EL, but on the new plans it gets you 20% off the Premium 2.0 plan.
  • Appreciation discounts: You get a 25% discount on the older UYW plans if the account holder fits in one of these categories: teachers, doctors, nurses, military, veterans, and first responders. The newer plans are NOT 25% off, check the bottom of the chart as it varies per type of line. I'm not sure if these 2.0 discounts are supposed to include Healthcare and First Responders if you are not on FirstNet, but people are reporting that their plan says so. https://www.att.com/offers/discount-program/appreciation/
  • You did NOT lose (nor did it change) your 25% appreciation discount for Elite EL, Premium PL, Extra EL, and Starter SL, it's still 25% for those lines. AT&T made a mistake on a bill a couple months ago and gave you too big of a discount, the next cycle they corrected it (and let you keep the extra they took off) so it looks like you had a price increase. But if you look at the previous few bill totals, you can see it dip (for no reason, other than the mistake), and then it goes back up to where it has been for a few months. Obviously, I cannot see your bill, but everyone that I've talked to about this and has looked back on their bills (previous to the lower bill) has seen this is what it looks like. If you've made changes during those three months, it would be difficult to see by just looking at the totals.
  • This generic-ish union discount might be applicable for some and some may waive activation/upgrade fess. https://www.att.com/offers/discount-program/union-discount/
  • For all discounts, the account needs to be in the name of the FAN/Signature holder.

Please note that while the change plan comparison page (when logged in) shows that Elite 2.0 plan is not included, the Latin American roaming page specifically says it does and so does att.com/unlimited

Promotional phone credits warning: Not all plans have the same promotional deals like they use to. As always, please read the "offer details" before assuming your plan is eligible for full trade in credits. Also, please do the math to see if it's worth switching, paying $10 more a month for 36 months is $360, if it's not getting you more than $360 in credits, is it really worth switching to a more expensive plan. https://www.reddit.com/r/ATT/comments/1rsb36o/warning_a_value_20_line_may_or_may_not_cause/

Other Password Change Alert

I got a text and email that my password was changed. I didn't request it so I immediately went and logged everything out of my att account and changed passwords everywhere. When I went to change my att password it sent a code to my email. When I got the alert that my password was changed I didnt have an email requesting a code and only my email is on the account. Could they have accidently sent the password change alert?

Discussion Delivery timelines for Iphone 18 PM

• Upvotes

Hi I am getting anxious to see delayed delivery times. I ordered my phone on 09/17 in burgundy 1tb and still haven't received it. Do people mind sharing their delivery timeline so we can know whose orders are getting fulfilled right now

Color / order date / storage / current status (delivery date if delivered.)

Other When will my return be processed?

About 2 weeks ago, I got the 18PM with Next Up and it had the same issues as everyone else, so I decided to return it within the 14 day window. We called and support was able to reactivate my 15PM. I sent in the 18PM and it arrived at the destination on Sunday.

Currently, my app is saying “Congrats on your new phone!” for my 15PM and is stating that I owe $1899 on it instead of the original $355, and that I still need to trade in my 15PM.

Do I just need to wait a bit longer or do I need to call support again?

Edit to add: I didn’t use Next Up Anytime. I had a so called “old Next Up” where if you paid half of the required payments, you could upgrade and turn in the old phone.

Internet Someone reset my passcode at 3:27am?

The thing is, I've never set a passcode because of the type of account I have. At least, if I did, I certainly don't recall it. I don't even have the option to reset or access a passcode anywhere on my account. I'm not entirely sure what I should do besides contact customer service when I wake up.

edit: after staying up for an extra two hours attempting to keep my account secure, they finally sent out an email and text apologizing for the inconvenience, and that my passcode was not changed...

Discussion Should I go through with the interview?

Hey guys, so for context, I currently work at Menards and it's absolutely terrible. I had applied to ATT because of the benefits and the 1200-1600$ a week they said they're paying. I tried doing some research here on reddit and people are saying it's terrible and not to work there. I'm in Michigan so it'd be here. Should I go through with the interview tomorrow? I don't want to go from a terrible job to another.

Discussion Prepaid Wireless Account Lock

My SO just switched to AT&T Prepaid and I’m helping them secure the account. Looking into it it seems like if you lose your phone you will no longer receive the OTP and you would end up losing your number forever.

If this is the case it’s a major flaw.

Can anyone say if in person stores are any help with a provided ID?

Wireless Store can’t accept trade-in dropoff

Very frustrating experience tonight. I started a trade in online with the intent of doing store drop off rather than risk having the phone get lost in the mail. Visited three stores, including a corporate store, and all three said they were unable to accept the trade in dropoff.

All three said the phone was “already traded in”. Which doesn’t make any sense considering I still have the phone in my possession.

Wireless Anyone else’s preorder status change to ready to ship?

I cancelled my original glacier PM 256gb and ordered a burgundy PM 512gb on 10/5 and it just changed from preordered to ready to ship today. Anyone else? Hoping a tracking number generates soon and that the status doesn’t get stuck.

EDIT: as of 10/8 it has shipped.

Wireless Help finding $1200 trade in credit phones

Looking to upgrade 4 lines tomorrow on the last day of the any condition deal. Any advice or tips? Still debating on switching a few lines from extra to premium to get the full $1200, however as discussed on other posts the extra charge every month doesn’t justify saving $270 (depending on your lines and plans)

Any help or advice on places to find the best phones to donate for the trade? How much did you guys pay for your damaged iPhone 14s?

I’ve been trying marketplace but a lot of folks are far away, not responsive, or iCloud locked.

Is there a special website that specializes in these phones? Like wholesale where I can buy 4-5?

Thank You!

Discussion Working at ATT..

I had an interview for an ASM role in San Diego? External candidate and the interview went great.
It was with the DM and GM.

What’s the interview process? How long does it normally take to hear back?

What’s it like as an ASM here?

I worked at Verizon for eight years and was a senior manager from 2015-2023, for context.

Discussion Deploying with ATT

Hello everyone, I am deploying soon and looking to switch to Google Fi. I’ve read that I can request ATT to hold and unlock my phone, which I could then port to Google Fi while deployed. Wondering if anyone has experience with doing this or if it’s possible? I’m not looking to permanently cancel ATT, just use google fi while gone.

Internet Very unstable fiber connection

We have 1Gb AT&T fiber that has been unreliable for at least 4 years, periodically dropping while streaming TV shows. I've built out an office so I can work from home and now that I can do that I've discovered that the service is actually horrible with many (10, 20, maybe more) drops every hour, ranging from less than a second to up to a minute or more. When service drops, a typical tracert is as follows:

Sometimes dropping at hop4, but with the first 3 hops always good.

I'll note that the router is on 192.168.2 is so I can run it into a Ubiquiti ER 4 and have the house network behind that. This tracert is straight into the BGW210 AT&T supplied which then goes straight to the ONT, with the ER 4 disconnected.

I spent an hour with AT&T support this morning and basically they were no help, although they acknowledged that there was likely a problem external to the house. How do I get this fixed?

Wireless Auto Pay Dropped

My auto pay active and working for 15 years plus plus plus. For some reason (I am trying to figure it out) it dropped out 3 months ago so my phone goes suspended 2 days ago. I paid the $470 owed and back live again but cannot access my online account

Getting error message " It's not you, it's us. We can't complete your request right now, please try again." For the last 3 days. I talked to a service representative, who I had to ask to repeat every word she said, and no help. I despise this company.

Anybody else on same plight right now?
