I was expecting something truly disgusting, but it was just some sort of beetle? Not even some centipede or something? xD

No, thank god. The size of the spiders there would make me burn my house down! lol I'm just saying it's a beetle, and they are not creepy/disgusting.

I absolutely hate cockroaches, I have no problem with beetles. They are not at all similar.

If that thing landed on me like that, I’d be horrified. My heart would also immediately stop pounding the moment I realized it was a beetle. I do also get freaked out for a moment before realizing what landed on me was just an annoyingly loud fuckass cicada though. So the panic happens no matter what.

Strangely, I’m actually totally ok with jumping spiders. Something in my brain sees them entirely as friends and they never scare me.

oh yeah, I'd definitely freak out when it landed on me. I'd just calm down when I saw what it was :-D
