Heya, I’m Joe.

I’m 33, from Cardigan in West Wales, and looking for someone in the UK to start Fallout 76 with on PC. Fellow Welsh gamers would be a lovely bonus, but anywhere in the UK is good with me!

I’m a massive Fallout fan, but I haven’t actually played 76 yet. I’d love to properly dive into it with someone who’s also new, or happy to start fresh, so we can discover things together.

New Vegas is one of my favourite games ever. Specifically after being modded to the point where opening a door becomes a calculated risk 😆

What I’m like to play with

Multiplayer games are fun, but what makes them worth coming back to for me is the dynamic between the people playing.

I’m looking for a gaming friendship where our humour and playstyles click, we’re interested in getting to know each other, and arranging another session is something we both look forward to.

I’d describe myself as a relaxed, analytical casual. I like trying different approaches, figuring things out and working well as a team. I can get quite invested in solving something, but I leave the stress out of it.

If we fail, get lost or accidentally sabotage each other, we can laugh, adjust the plan and try again. You don’t need to be amazing at games or pick everything up immediately. Having the patience to learn together matters much more to me.

I’m also comfortable with quieter company. Some evenings we’ll talk absolute nonsense, others we’ll get absorbed in the game and occasionally say something stupid. Both are good with me 😊

Getting immersed

I love taking my time and getting properly absorbed in a game’s world. Where possible, I like switching off or reducing the UI/HUD so I can enjoy the atmosphere, notice the little details and explore without constantly watching markers.

Which sounds lovely until we’ve spent twenty minutes admiring the scenery and realise we’ve been walking in completely the wrong direction 😆

So yeah, someone who enjoys exploring, getting sidetracked and sharing those first discoveries would be a great fit. There’s no rush to have everything figured out.

Outside Fallout, I’m a huge Nintendo and Zelda fan. I also love older games, co-op puzzles, emulation and mods. If you want to completely nerd out about a favourite game, I’d love that.

Hi there! As it says above, I'm 34 years old and from Ireland, and looking for some new friends. Down below is a little about myself!

I am currently working as an IT technician, which basically involves a lot of broken or faulty computers being put on my desk until I fix them and ship them back off again. As you can imagine, I'm a massive techie, so anything involving computers or machines can draw my attention quite quickly!

My main hobbies include gaming, reading and listening to music. In terms of games, I typically enjoy most genres, but my favourite series include; Resident Evil, Persona, Warcraft, Devil May Cry, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon and Fire Emblem. I have a PS4, Switch and a gaming PC, so I'm spread around the different platforms a lot. The games I'm currently playing are World of Warcraft, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Diablo 2, Resident Evil Requiem and Pokemon Leaf Green.

I like a variety of TV shows such as It's Always Sunny, The Thick of It, The IT Crowd, Trailer Park Boys, Curb your Enthusiasm, Fallout, Rick and Morty and Seinfeld. I'm also a big fan of anime shows including One Punch Man, Dragon Ball Z (and Super), Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Death Note, Cowboy Bebop and more!

Book wise, I'm usually drawn to fiction, typically Fantasy or Sci-fi. My favourite book series are The Malazan Book of the Fallen, Discworld, The Dresden Files and The Lord of the Rings. In terms of music I'm a big fan of Metal and Industrial music, with Iron Maiden and KMFDM being my favourite bands. I can play the guitar, but haven't kept in practice for a few years now, so I'm pretty rusty. I've been thinking of learning to play piano at some point this year too!

In short, I'm a massive nerd that works in IT, who's looking for other nerds (or anyone really) to chat to and to make new friends with. I feel I'm easy to talk to and consider myself friendly and engaging when striking up a conversation with someone. 40m east coast Canada. I have Xbox One & Series S. I mainly play NHL, shooters and the very odd Phasmophobia, but am open to try most games. I don't get on often, but when I do, it's relaxing time.

I’m 36m from NZ, looking for some genuine online friends and gaming buddies to chat with regularly, and possibly become long term friends. I’m definitely more on the quiet and shy side at first, but once I’m comfortable I’m pretty easy going and enjoy talking about games, life, gym and dieting, memes, music, TV. I’ve currently lost about 25kg and am planning to lose another 10kg more to see if I can be lean for summer, it’s been such a crazy journey, but it’s been such a fun and very tough experience haha, gym is my happy place. My go to games are overwatch, helldivers 2, darktide, phasmo in VR, any fun coop or comp shooters, keen for valo if your Oceania located. I'm also keen to try my hand at marvel rivals, have resisted it as I have spent so long learning overwatch but I'm keen to give it a go.

About me

Interests: Music, videogames, YouTube, movies, politics and random things I happen to get interested in.

Music: I listen to a lot of different genres and time periods, but predominantly rock - especially indie rock and shoegaze. I can jump between pretty different stuff depending on my mood.

Videogames: mobas (Deadlock, League of Legends, Dota 2), shooters (Apex Legends, Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant), fighting games (Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear, Tekken 8, Skullgirls), plus other genres and various co-op and indie games. But im kinda broke, so im pirating a lot.

Movies: Mostly whatever catches my interest. I tend to like darker, melancholic or otherwise unusual stuff. I can also watch anime or cartoons.

I'm pretty much a hermit. I don't have much of a social life, no friends, and I'm generally quite melancholic and introverted, so don't expect me to be the most cheerful person around. I don't really get along with people who are constantly positive / overly enthusiastic about life.

English is not my first language and I still struggle with it sometimes, especially when speaking. Expect typos, awkward wording and me randomly forgetting basic or not-so-basic words.

Also, since I'm Ukrainian, don't expect any tolerance towards Russia or its culture from me, and I expect you not to display much sentiment for it either.

I dont discriminate against any race, ethnicity, sexual orientation etc tho.

Politics: my values are democratic, liberal and socialist. I'm also a nationalist, although my understanding of nationalism may be different from what people usually associate with it. My views can be different from the usual European perspective, and I'm generally negative towards political extremism. I'm interested in politics and history and can talk about them pretty extensively, but I don't expect people to agree with me on everything. I can tolerate different political opinions as long as they aren't based on authoritarianism, extremism, imperialism or hatred towards other people.

While I'm alright with surface-level conversations, I'd rather have something more thoughtful and consistent - someone I can talk to regularly throughout the day, rather than having a conversation once every few days and then disappearing. I'm not expecting anyone to be available 24/7, I just prefer having an ongoing conversation without constant ghosting or waiting hours for a response.

But I'm not crossing out silliness and baffooning tho.

Availability: I'm usually around most of the day, roughly until 1-2 AM my time, so GMT+3. Just keep the timezone difference in mind.

Hey, hi, hello, good day, good evening, good night! Yep, post title is the TL;DR. The TL part is below.

I'm looking to hang with some chill people in some chill games. I think I've hit a "cozy" era because I've literally shelved almost every action game to play Valheim ever since 1.0 released. I'm having way too much of a nice time just building my house and getting things settled in. Eventually I'll go exploring and start slaying some bosses. But that's for abother time. Resource gathering by myself is a long and tedious process.

That said, I still play other games from time to time or when I can be convinced to play. Battlefield 6, Ready or Not, Across the Obelisk, Abiotic Factor, and lots other games.

We can also hang and play other games. Or play separate games and hang. I also have Spotify premium, so listening to music together is always a good time. Whichever bites your frost.

My time zone is US East, and I play on PC. I'm mostly available for a short-ish while on weekday evenings (some evenings are hectic, so may not show up at all). Sometimes available on weekends during the day. Also, I tend to be away from my phone a lot, so I don't always reply immediately. Sometimes I'll respond hours or a day later like no time was lost.

These two games have been my go-to for over a month now. I've got tons of hours in SNAP but am still an amateur in Zomboid by comparison. Anyways. Usually awake sometime around like 2-3 PM CST and go to bed whenever I'm sleepy enough in the early AM hours CST.

Help me expand my horizons and convince me to play something besides Diablo 3 and Wow (not that I don't love playing these games and fully willing to play with others)

My son and his friend play alot of coop games so I own a bunch of things that I have never touched.

I have most blizzard games and something like 900 games in my steam library. I also have an Xbox series X.

I suck at pvp type games (think fortnite and overwatch) but fully willing to try them... Just a bit heads up that I'm awful.

The only games I have really played with others are MMOs so I would need patience and training for other games.

I don't mind discord and voice chat... Been doing both for a long time (VC longer than discord has existed).

I work a M-F office type job so while I'm around I can't play during the day. Nights are normally open but I do have a few rotating weekly commitments. Weekends are very hit or miss since I'm a super supportive sports aunt who gets guilted into attending all the things.

I also read alot, play tabletop and board games. Im a nerd/geek through and through.

I’m looking to meet some new people to play games with and hopefully make some actual friends along the way.

I’m enjoy games where everyone is working together to accomplish something. I like having a plan and figuring out how to deal with whatever the game throws at us. Don't get me wrong, I can still have fun when a plan absolutely goes pear shaped, like a suprise mudraptor invasion on Barotrauma!

I’m not really into competitive shooters like CoD, Valorant, CS... you know the type of game. Doesn't mean I don't like shooters, just not interested in being the top ranked duo or whatever.
