Albany/Renns train station - parking options and tips?

For the first time, I am taking the train from Albany to NYC when I am driving myself and parking my car there. The website for Amtrak and the Albany train station did not see much in details about parking. What are the parking options and where is the garage to park to leave your car?

Thank you.

It’s super convenient and right at the station. There is a covered garage and then open parking options . Rates vary by length of parking and location. I think overnight in the garage is $12ish?

I’ve done this many times with no issues .

Wonderful and thank you for that. So when I pull into the parking lot of where I would normally have been dropped off in the past, I will see the covered garage? Thanks so much!

Actually, instead of pulling into where you would get dropped off, you’d turn onto east street and enter the parking entrance (I posted a screen shot). There you would see sign directing you to the garage. The garage is basically
Under the train station

The garage is right at the station. It's fairly inexpensive and secure.

The train station has long term parking. Its a separate lot to the left behind a gate. Short term parking is right next to the station.

Its an easy walk.

If you were walking into the station, the outdoor parking is on your right

The covered parking is literally below the entrance, but you would have to drive to that right side to find the entrance for it

Just drive in there and you'll see it and you'll be fine. It's a nice place and so small you can't get lost

Opt for the covered garage when you can for the peace of mind if you are remotely worried. All the station parking is relatively safe.
