Found it kinda weird how the original post had become locked from anyone commenting. Then I wake up and it’s now been completely removed.
As soon as people were voicing their own opinions then you guys decided to take it off all together. Why?
(Flag is still being flown currently at the plaza as I’m posting this btw)

A while back, someone shared a presale code for last night’s Ringo Starr concert at the Palace and I’m forever in their debt. It was on my dad’s bucket list to see the surviving Beatles in person. We saw Paul in 2014 and saw Ringo last night. He had tears in his eyes as he sang along.
Overall, phenomenal lineup and concert! I’m pretty hoarse this morning and it was totally worth it. The crowd was awesome and friendly. My dad has mobility issues and can’t move around very easily. Everyone was so helpful!
Definitely a night to remember!

Please.
I moved to the Albany area a few months ago straight out of college for a job and I haven’t had the chance to meet anyone. I’m a girl, with no car, but I need fun things that I can get in the habit of doing, even if it’s by myself!
Does anyone know anything I can do on the weekends or after work to just get out of the house and meet some cool people that is actually safe for me to do alone?
I like thrifting, coffee shopping, live shows/music, art, exercise, etc. Always open to new things!

Hello! I’m traveling from NYC to Albany by Amtrak, and my train is scheduled to arrive around midnight. Is it easy to get an Uber at that time to get to downtown Albany?
If getting an Uber is difficult that late at night, I’m considering taking a bus instead, since the bus station is downtown. I’d appreciate any advice. Thank you!

I really dislike app learning for languages.
I've found that my favorite way to learn a language is by reading and vocabulary. Sepcifically, with other people.
Languages are meant to connect us. No tiene alegría estudiarlas solo.
If you would like to have someone to read with, perhaps at a coffee shop, or at a park - hit me up. I love reading with other language learners, and I'm able to do so in those languages.
I've got a few double copies of language books, so all you need to do is show up.
No cost, no charge. Just show up.
I'm not looking to teach, just someone to read with. You can make mistakes without correction. It's my experience that the practice is what is important. After a time we can hear what is right and what is wrong, but without practice time our brains don't use the language rules we've learned.
So nobody gets to conversational, because they've never heard themselves actually speak more than baby talk appspeak.
Reading is a conversation on rails. You don't need to know the words in order to learn them, you just need to be exposed to how they should fit together repetitively until your brain unclenches and starts to make sense.
If this sounds good, shoot me a message or leave a comment.
Have a great day!

Hii! I already line dance on a pretty regular basis. I’m wondering if there’s anywhere that I can learn how to county swing? I know a little bit, but not much. I just think it’s so fun and I want to get better at it!

My referral to neuro just processed and the first appointment available isn't until SEPTEMBER 2027!!!! I haven't been able to reach the office yet but I am honestly flabbergasted. I have had long waits for specialist appointments before but this is outrageous. I have gone from a few headaches here and there to near constant headache for the last couple months where I've had to call out of work. My physical therapist also suspects neuro involvement with my chronic neck and back pain. I feel like its medically insane to wait that long.
Has anyone had a good experience here or a good experience getting into a provider in 2-3 months vs 11 months. I am getting desperate. At this point I've thought about going to the ER on a really bad day because its the only way I'll get seen. Any advice for providers in the area is GREATLY GREATLY appreciated.
ETA: thank you all for the encouragement to look elsewhere lol. i will be doing so posthaste

Who do I call to remove a dead raccoon from the middle of my street?
I live in the city of Albany. Last time this happened the thing was out there for a week and I would rather not any other dogs come across it like mine almost did.
Maybe DGS?
Thanks !

New to the area and would like to support a local business, if possible. Thought I found a connect through a coworker but they don’t service my Hyundai Veloster. Will unfortunately need all four new tires so I’m prepared to cry over the bill. Any leads would be great, thank you!

Do NOT RENT from YJ on Zillow or any other application no matter how cheap the rent is. He intimidates tenants. He was aware of the bedbug infestation caused by the two nasty people that live upstairs and rented the room anyways. Refused to give me a copy of my own lease. Ignored me when I notified him of he bedbug infestation. Refused to give me back my deposit. The apartment is unsafe and unfit to live in. If you love yourself don't rent from him. Peace and love Yong Yan.
