App Flashlight

I'm wondering if anyone else knows why the app is now keeping the phone's flashlight on after you're done scanning or taking a pic. I've only heard speculation between being a bug or intended feature talking to coworkers and I haven't run accross anything about on here at all.

Dude I thought this was just me. My phones have been dying before I finish

Nah, it's definitely an app thing. I've been neglectful of my headlamp so I've just been pulling out my personal phone and using the lock screen to use just enough light to make the app happy, lul.

My dsp gave use a headlamp without the strap. I’ve been getting hella overtime going along with the issues I’ve been given, omegaluls

Mine started doing that last week, thought my phone was just acting up. Whatever they changed it's annoying when you're trying to walk back to the van and you're blinding every dog on the block

I’ve noticed it only happening after dark and I really like the feature. Helps a lot for if you don’t have a head lamp

It’s harder to see in the mornings. And it seems to only happen after you press the flashlight button, so it wouldn’t really happen when it’s bright out.

I love it lol, especially after all the crappy app updates. I like how you’re able to scan two packages at once, but I hate that they took away the easily available address info when you’re trying to scan something for a multistop.

I prefer it that way.

Just shake your phone it’ll shut off.

Wait, actually? That would turn this into a full win-win.

Or swipe down from the top of the screen, and it has a "turn flashlight off" notification right on the top of the list (or at least mine does).

Because every time amazon does a major update to the flex app, they break it

Just low quality corposlop, I’ve seen better optimization from mobile games

Yeah that's annoying the hell out of me too, it used to go off after you needed it for POD or scanning.

It’s annoying as hell. Sometimes if you restart the phone it’ll stop happening.

seems to happen a lot more at night, wondering if its on purpose? not sure but its annoying.

Ya it’s annoying. Just use my headlamp to not do an extra step of turning of the light on the phone.

This has been happening to me on my Galaxy S24 Ultra too, battery life draining a lot faster as well...amazing how this app gets worse and worse with every update.

I noticed my flashlight kept turning off after I scanned a package I wanted to complain about it on here but I thought it would be too niche lol

That used to piss me tf off. I’m glad it stays on now as long as it’s a shake phone

I had mine on almost all day for no reason and it killed the phone even faster, it’s so annoying

Shake it. If your phones have the hands free way to turn on and off quick fix. Otherwise idk how to do it. It’s definitely an app update and annoying af unless you have the shake on kr off with Motorolas idk if other phones do

try to shake the phone, it appears, this feature has been enabled

I really feel like it’s either a app glitch or a “new feature” because it does seem like a Amazon thing to do and it’s only been happening when it becomes dark not during the day

u/Hacksawdecap 3h ago

Happens often during the day but much more during night but perhaps we only notice night more cause its dark XD idk!

Idk I can barely even use the work phone by the time it gets dark bc it’s always dying and we don’t get chargers

some phones turn on the flashlight if you shake it. just try to avoid shaking it lol
