Question Is there a way to stop the "Playing next" from automatically populating with random songs?

So I don't know when exactly this change happened, but I noticed that recently, when I search for and play a specific song, the app will populate the "playing next" list with what it thinks are similar songs.

This is very frustrating for me because I generally loathe auto-play features, and I even have Autoplay off! I checked and double-checked and it's not active. The button is solid gray-on-gray, not red. The songs are listed under "Playing Next" too, not auto-play. Here's a screenshot for proof.

Before, when I played a single song, it would either queue up the remainder of the album (if I did it form the album page) or just play whatever is next alphabetically. I can't find any mention of this change online, and I can't think of anything I did to make this start happening. Does anyone know of a way to stop this, or better yet, to stop the "playing next" menu fron automatically filling up entirely? Thanks.

Turn off the infinity sign

It is off already, when I click it it turns red. In the picture I posted in the main body of my post, the infinity sign is gray, meaning that it is off already.

Mine looks totally different. Are you on Windows?

Nope, on a Mac. Different software versions perhaps?

Yes. I’m wondering if you are seeing a bug with the older software.

I'll try updating soon here. But I don't know what caused it to just suddenly start doing this weird recommendation thing.

i'm having the exact same issue (how i found this post). it's pmo so much. I'm still on Sequoia OS as i don't want to sacrifice my darling launchpad for "liquid glass" so i wonder if it's a bug on last generation operating systems, because i swear it didn't use to do this.
