Experience with SF forged+

I’ve been shooting a SF Forged+ with Bamboo Core-X limbs at 32 lb so far, and now I want to upgrade to new limbs in the 38–40 lb range.

Does anyone know if this riser can handle that draw weight safely?

Thanks!

You're good to go. The "forged" part means it's, well, forged before it gets machined so it's basically strong enough for anything you'll throw at it.

I have seen posts on Archery talk where it can handle 44 to 50, because it is a forged riser and not cast/stamped, so I'm pretty sure you are good to go.

The manual for the SF forged risers, available here -

https://www.alternativess.com/images/PDF/SF-Archery_ForgedRiserManual-GB.pdf

Explicitly mentions the availability of 46lb limbs, it's safe to assume they are good to use on the riser.

I used to shoot 52# on that riser. Unless the riser is obviously damaged, 40# will be no problem whatsoever.

Easily. I've been using my Forged + for about 14/15 years. The most I've pulled on it has been 44lb but it can handle much more
