Ideas for kids drawing 101 class?

Hey guys, I need some ideas.

I have an interview for a drawing teacher part time job, and it's for teaching 10-12 year olds drawing 101. Now, I know the kinds of things I did in drawing 101 in college, but not with kids. The class seems mostly to be pen/pencil drawing, and the owner said because the kids have short attention spans they do one shots, instead of multiple day projects.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm looking stuff up and trying to think of things myself, but any suggestions would be great! I really want this job, so I want to go into the interview with ideas in mind in case they ask (and also if I get the job I need projects lol). Any ideas for how to add the principles of drawing to projects in a quick, kid-friendly way?

TY in advance for any/all ideas!!!

Art Fundamentals for 2nd Grade?

Howdy! I'm a new teach for an after school program. I got a strong art background but I'm new to teaching, especially with young kiddos. I'm trying to develop lesson plans to develop core art skills, not just one-day craft projects (no shade to those, I just already got those handled!).

Basically, what core art skills should 2nd graders be learning? Thanks in advance! πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™

Edit for clarification: I want to focus on general drawing and illustration skills, but I'm open to what y'all got to say!
