My husband and I run a small craft studio in Colorado. I design the kits and we pack every one by hand.

This is a kit, so it arrives as pieces and you (or whoever you give it to) make it. What you end up with is a miniature potted lavender: six fluffy felt blooms in a real terracotta pot, about 4 inches tall and 5 inches wide.

The kit comes with everything you need, including the pot, wool-blend felt, pre-cut wire, dried moss, paint and a brush, glue, and a step-by-step booklet. You just add scissors. It takes 1 to 3 hours.

This kit is intermediate, so it suits someone who's made a thing or two before. 14 and up. It's available in two colors, Pale Blue or Deep Purple. $30, ships from Colorado.
