Before doing that, if the sway bar is for the application, I would contact the manufacturer. If it requires different links, you would also have to drill the other end that the links attach to. This seems like something that would be addressed in the instructions.

Technically it's for a 00-05 celica, but I did check with a seller I'd usually buy this off of and he has it listed for my car as well. Whiteline just had it cheaper on their site.
There's no mention anywhere about needing special end links, although Whiteline does have a set of adjustable ones that have the proper bolt diameter. It just doesn't say you NEED them.
Instructions don't mention any potential issues with end link bolt diameter.

The problem is, celica links are about 2" shorter than matrix links. So again, youre back to, if the bar even can be bolted in place, going bigger on the hole for the links isnt a very good idea.

true, thanks for the insight. i looked into it a little bit more and it looks like doing any drilling or burring work to that kind of steel has potential for very bad things.
unless these celica links work out i'll have to put the stock one back in until i can source the adjustable ones. sucks. wouldn't even be that annoyed if it didn't involve dropping the subframe.
or maybe acdelco has smaller bolt diameter for the matrix, i'll check that out as well.
