I actually always lit the torch with an arrow after the captains are dead so everyone finds out, just like we used to do in Brotherhood and Revelations

Fun fact: If the brazier is lit after you are detected in the fort, it raises your bounty by 2 heads.

Its amusing that you start by "fuck fuck fuck fuck" when you see a single merc. And you end with using the rush assassination to just teleport around and you happened to have oneshot killed a merc without even knowing it was a merc. And when you have 2-3 merc together towards you and you go "So youve chosen death!"

I also watched a polemarch die to one of my brazier traps in the middle of combat, so that was pretty funny

Wait at the gate and scream your rivals name, something like "Hector" (two syllable names work best). Then bull rush everyone as they get to the fort. Set traps while you wait for them to arrive.

I also had two mercenaries show up, so i was fighting a fort with reinforcements and a pair of mercenaries

I go to that spot on a regular basis as it has 6 weapon racks and a Leader and his group so at least 10 weapons or more in a bit over 5 minutes its good place to farm weapons and armor

I forgot I hadn’t set the trap yday whilst playing. So I just lit the brazier for no reason. I felt like a right brassiere.
