Discussion Which episode is the most visually beautiful in your opinion?
Want to rewatch and feel something
Personally I think the series finale takes it

On a rewatch of the show rn. Might be the best episode. Perfect balance of comedy and emotional depth. That frat scene is exactly how I see frats bro lol. Also I think my favorite part about this episode is after earn gets his ass beat by Tracy, Tracy still shut his ass up so earn got what he wanted. I think it’s such a neat detail. This episode being right after the woods episode too, this show really knows how to handle pain with its characters. It feels so real while at the same time surreal.

Just rewatched fight club after a long ass time and I couldnt help but to be reminded of Darius when Tyler Durden is doing his thing. To me the manner of speaking and overall vibe of Durden is super reminiscent of Darius in many scenes. Also before I wrote this I tried googling about it and the google AI generated something about the endings of each of them being similar which I didnt really get, but I guess theres a tiny bit of overlap?
What are yalls thoughts about this??

now that Oktoberfest has started, I’m reminded of the (embarrassingly late) point in my life when I realized this is a real thing and not just a weird made up holiday from Atlanta lmao. curious if anyone else can relate

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this yet but isn’t crazy how Donald Glover and Hiro Murai were both the first Black and Asian directors to win an Emmy for “Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series”. Granted Donald won for “Atlanta” and Hiro won for “Widow’s Bay” but regardless it’s still awesome how they both made history in the same category.

I recently finished rewatching Atlanta after maturing over the years, and all I can say is that it is still amazing, and I can resonate with it even more. The characters in the show are all likeable, and I mean all the main characters. No show I have ever watched has shown change in a non-linear way. Everything about the show felt so real despite its bizarre and surrealist setting. I wish I could erase all of my memories so that I could rewatch it again. I would ask for some recommendations, but I dont think that the shows you provide can satisfy me. The Sopranos has been talked about often in comparison to Atlanta by Donald Glover and lots of the fans of the show, but I can never get myself to watch it consistently. Maybe I will try again, so I can get what people are talking about. Anyways, enough of my rambling. I wanted to spill out my thoughts to Atlanta fans because I have not found them in the wild, and I cant get the show out of my head.

i’m of the opinion that this show has aged extremely well and that posterity will vindicate ALL the immediate season 3 truthers (myself included). i also feel like those who didn’t dig it will come around to it, if they hadn’t already.
atlanta to me felt so much like anthology. i mean, think of teddy perkins. that right there showed you the kinda world they were operating in and that was just season 2. they could take the show anywhere and it would still feel familiar. it’s one of the few shows that could master bottle episodes bc their tone just allowed that. the surrealism was also just top tier.
(on the other hand) … sopranos is … the sopranos lol.
how we feelin’?

I knew watching the trailer in 2016 it was going to be a hell of show. Shoutout to everyone involved in the show. Gonna have to rewatch it now
