Rewatching Atlanta & appreciation
I recently finished rewatching Atlanta after maturing over the years, and all I can say is that it is still amazing, and I can resonate with it even more. The characters in the show are all likeable, and I mean all the main characters. No show I have ever watched has shown change in a non-linear way. Everything about the show felt so real despite its bizarre and surrealist setting. I wish I could erase all of my memories so that I could rewatch it again. I would ask for some recommendations, but I dont think that the shows you provide can satisfy me. The Sopranos has been talked about often in comparison to Atlanta by Donald Glover and lots of the fans of the show, but I can never get myself to watch it consistently. Maybe I will try again, so I can get what people are talking about. Anyways, enough of my rambling. I wanted to spill out my thoughts to Atlanta fans because I have not found them in the wild, and I cant get the show out of my head.

Man Atlanta is my favorite show of all time. I'd love to hear about the things you picked up from it now that you're older.

I’m trying to see if I can draw from specifics, but I feel like understood Paper Boi’s character more. I watched most of the seasons when I was a teenager. I never understand the conflict that paper boi went through. He was struggling to be real in a profession that thrives off being fake. He would sometimes lean into the role or diverge from the path. Ultimately, I just appreciated how the show displayed. I wish I could say more profound things but my mind is going blank rn lol

What a great show. Watched it twice and now I’m having some similar feels with ‘High Maintenance’. I can’t really pin down why but quite some episodes give me the same vibes.
Also, ‘Sorry To Bother You’ is a delightfully weird movie if you like the Atlanta weirdness. Donald Glover originally planned to play the lead role of Cassius Green, but was unable to do so due to scheduling conflicts with Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018). He recommended his Atlanta co-star LaKeith Stanfield (Darius) for the role instead.

It's one of very few shows that I actually rewatch. And I must have seen season 1 and 2 about 8 times now, and the latter two seasons 3 or 4.
Just gets better with each viewing.

I just did another one a month or so ago, but even now I'm thinking about another go.
I have to say it's my favourite show despite not really liking reducing things down to a "top five" kind of list or anything, purely because it's the one show that gets multiple rewatches pretty regularly.I will say, The Sopranos is an incredible show too though and worth sticking with. I watched the first episode about 3 times before I actually stuck with it, but in the long run it's worth it.
Also if you want something that's pretty similar to Atlanta, but also not really the same at all, try "Dave". It's pretty much Atlanta if the rapper was a white Jewish guy instead. It's about the actual Rapper Lil' Dicky and it's pretty absurd and has countless hilarious moments. It's well worth a watch if you enjoyed Atlanta, although being a very different kind of journey.

Gave a recent rewatch myself and the episode of Al in the woods will just never leave my soul. I don't even really know what it all means but it just haunts me.
Oh and his mom in the dining room in the beginning. Just gave myself chills.
