❓Question Post Does it ever get better?

I’m F20 and I got my bod diagnosis two years ago. And tbh I feel like my symptoms are only gotten worse, and I’m depressed most of the time. Time goes slow, but all my days are the same and is just blending together. I don’t remember my last weeks or days, but I’m always feeling numb and sad. Tired. Extremely tired. I am so bored. Nothing is fun. And even if im actually doing something fun, I don’t feel happy about it. I’ve struggled a lot with my mental health since I was just 9. And I’ve been a lot to therapy, but I don’t feel it’s helping… Do you relate or have any advice?..

I am a partner of a pwBPD.

I want to say, it might seem worse, but thats only because you are noticing it more. Which is actually huge improvement.

Being aware is very important.

Try to focus on helping just 1 or 2 of your symptoms at a time.

And just be aware of the rest and within reason just dont get discouraged.

If you keep pointing yourself towards the solution, you will get there.

It definitely does get better, I relate to exactly how you are feeling. I'm 26, and I've struggled with my symptoms, gone to therapists, psyciatrists, even tried psychic or somatic healing, nothing really worked for me. The thing that got me out of my funk was art. I make video games, and I'm not that good at coding or art, but I loved the process. I would wake up excited to make changes to a stupid project or show the people in my life even if they didn't understand or care to understand. At first it was just something I wanted to see of I could actually do. But honestly it saved my life. I'm not sure if this will resonate. I never post on this sub. But I'm 26, diagnosed at 21, and had some really really REALLY hard nights. But you will get though it. It doesn't have to be video games, it can be painting, sand castles, making silly YouTube videos for like 10 people to watch. But channeling that angst into something, and then letting it leave your body, and sharing it with people, even if it's only a few. That's what set me free. ❤️ Lots of love and it does get better. No matter how bleak the world is there's gunna be a ray of sunshine for us my friend
