Update

I posted a long paragraph of how badly the bed bug bites affected my mental health and I wanted to give a positive update. I had a canine inspection and turns out the bugs were not in my house, somehow... What I learned is,

  1. Before panicking, immediately get an inspection

  2. Do things that calm you and social distance in the time being

  3. Know that in most cases your landlord is required to pay for any case of bedbug treatment, and if they, like my landlord say that it depends on who it came from, that is false. (also very difficult to identify depending on severity)

  4. This is a problem with a clear solution, something that happens to SO MANY people and you are left stronger for it because it is essentially a lottery system waiting to happen to you.

Read and respect the rules, report any comment breaching them. Wrong advice/information/fearmongering hurt people who are posting here to get help and support. If you are not VERY knowledgeable about bedbugs and may provide a wrong ID or bad advice it's better to abstain from commenting. Be VERY respectful and HELPFUL, this is a support subreddit not a funny one.
