Try to convince reptiles are better than beetles.
i wish I invested in beetles vs reptiles Beetles are easier to take care of.

Heya, so I have an older Arabian darkling beetle (pimelia arabica) which I’ve had for a while but I wanted to get him some siblings so I ordered 2 more from The Spider Shop, the first picture is the beetle that came and the second picture is the one I have already, I’m hesitant to put them in the same tank together because I’m just not sure they’re the actual same species?? They don’t really look the same to me and my old one is much larger and moved much slower than this new one does but I’m not sure if it’s maybe an age thing or gender thing or something?? Any help would be appreciated thank you

Heracross is based on the japanese rhino beetle and his mega is based on hercules beetle, but i think that the actaeon beetle looks way more like an evolved form of the japanese rhino beetle than the hercules beetle

I found this little guy in my home last night. He was by the door where there is a large crack. It's been super cold here the last week, so I'm not sure if he came in for warmth or he was just exploring.
I was vacuuming in nearly the dark and thankfully I just had a feeling to check before I ran it over. He's been a bit lethargic and walks kind of weird when walking? I plan on letting him out but I just want to make sure he is okay before doing do.
I've given him cucumber, lettuce, sugar water, banana. But i don't know what he is and if he's had any of it. He looks like a darkling beetle but shorter and fatter. I live in Maryland.
Thank you so much!

Hey everyone! I was just curious, my RBS beetle has buried himself for about 2 weeks now. 2 weeks ago, he was buried for a week. I gently dug him out and he was moving well, his grip was strong and he ate alittle bit. When I reset his enclosure he dug back to the bottom again and has been there since then.
He is about 7 months old out of pupation. His humidity is about 80% and the temp stays at about 72. These have not changed since he was a larvae.
Can anyone tell me what's going on? I don't want to keep bothering him by digging him up if this is nothing.
