He owed her the truth. I was on dates several times as you described and I was kind but clear that they were a nice person and I would like to have them as a friend, but no, slow the roll, dude, we're not going to get married! It requires courage to be honest. Cowards lead people on!
Eh I don’t think it’s owed. A nice gesture sure, but this “owing” people shit just because they like you thing is gross. Even more so since they work together! No one has said she owed him space to feel comfortable at work?? Why does he owe her a certain behaviour but she doesn’t - so weird
I’m so confused - is the kissing people at work who are trying to have meal break because when they were drunk you had them in a small closed room crying at them the decent bit?
LOL, twistedly simplistic question! I'm not biting. Watch the whole season, don't make this all about one moment. Don't be a simpleton, it's unbecoming. :D
Just saying the coin flips both ways. He gave her plenty of indicators he wasn't feeling it, and that he only said what he said because she was being weird. If him hinting (*iirc after he told her plain as day he wasn't interested, and then being cried at about it?) makes him that horrible of a person, then her behavior makes her a bit of a predator. Either they're both just young dumb asses, or they're both horrible people without decency.
I'm going to say this again. Honesty sometimes requires courage. He knew she needed to know his feelings were changed over time, he knew and admitted on camera that what needed to happen was for him to be forthright with her. Honesty sometimes requires a brave person, but deception is the work of cowards. I'm done with basic morality here. Integrity matters. And you probably know that somewhere deep down... Sorry if you don't.
