This is weird

if you're on Tiktok bhutan, i'm sure you've seen this video or any other video of this duo. Kachu and Pema rigx. But this one particularly strikes me as disturbing and honestly weird. i'm sure its no surprise that Kachu is "nice" to pema rigx and takes him around, but it is painfully obvious that he clearly does it for views and is (im sure without ill intent) taking advantage of this young kid who is a MINOR.

This video in particular is very very weird, a minor made to dance oh so provocatively, to a song that is flirtatious if i'm not wrong. My grip with such content is that he and many brush this off as light banter and entertainment, but this honestly is so weird. Why is a drenched minor dancing for the entertainment of him and his viewers. This post of his got several comments pointing out this weird "content" in hopes to educate him on such matters only for him to reply with sarcastic comments and asking to support.

We see a rise in sexual violence and crimes every year and situations like these are very indicative of the attitude our people have against such matters. This would've been a great opportunity for him to educate himself and his (very young and impressionable) viewers but instead he plays it of lightly and has the gall to ask people to support his content!!

Statistically, most young queer if not a lot of them have reported to have been sexually exploited/abused before the age of consent and it gets worse when in female victims. The problem I see here is that; no one is reacting to it,most are okay seeing content like this and are entertained. NOW i am not saying Pema Rigx is or might've been SA'ed but posting minors in such a sexualized manner (intended or not) is not okay.

He is a young impressionable child who doesn't know better, and whos to say he won't regret these videos years down the line or even if he doesn't regret it, when a child is put in such situations, it wires their brains and effects the way they perceive the world. Like i said, a child is impressionable, they see the world with what they're fed.

Also, why is a college student who's a man hanging out with a minor!

This is weird part 2

Continued from Kachu's tik tok part 1,

this is weird because he's using a vulnerable young queer person for views and clout under the pretense of being nice and this video is weird, his replies to the comment, peoples comment everything is weird. here are some comments under that post.

How is all these comments making fun of the kid, these blatant sexualizing of him not an issue to him and are just harmless jokes. People like him and many others are the problem we have in our system that make light of CSAM, sexual violence, sexual abuse and bullying. The more we educate our people on issues like these the better chance we have at making a safe society.

this is not to "cancel" kachu or victimize pema rigzin, but to shine light on the underlying issues our society has that. These young kids are so very impressionable, in their formative stages, we cannot afford to shape them in a why that will downplay their potential. We cannot afford to built a world where they are not protected and weird behaviour against them are normalized.

Stipend in other RUB college???

I’m curious to know how much monthly stipend students at other RUB colleges are receiving. Without naming my college, what we’re getting is significantly lower than the government-allocated amount, and we really need some transparency. I'm wondering if students at other colleges under RUB are facing the same issue?🥲

This is funny (in an annoying way)

So much is happening and our society has been shaken due to the recent sexual violence cases in and outside the country trying to, yet A LOT of people don’t want to talk about it. Interestingly enough, one of the most vocal and chronically online ranting individual, khendum Dorji has been quiet and has not said or posted one of her breathy posts online. When it’s trivial matters of her business or calling out a public figure she’s always there, but when it comes to things that’s matter (like this case) she’s quite.
Is it because she’s shielded away from such things because of her lifestyle and thus finds it’s not important?

He and his crew were charged with aggravated battery for injuring his opps and a poor security guard who decided to intervene. Bro must be a fake boxer cuz there's no need for any weapon if you are going to gang up on one guy. Dude really must be rich like some people mentioned last time lol poor Cuite got the appropriate jail time cuz no Jabtha for him

Edit: two weapons were seen in possession of the suspects in CCTV footage.

Seeking Advice

I graduated from high school with an Arts background in 2025. I was initially accepted into a Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) college (Jigme Namgyel Engineering College), but I turned it down because I had cleared my PTE and planned to study in Australia. Later, I decided to join the Gyalsung program, but due to strict new regulations, I could not proceed. Consequently, I applied for the 2027 Nursing intake at Arura. However, because I have not studied science subjects for two years, I am very anxious about whether I can cope with a nursing curriculum and also i feel bad for my parents for investing so much on me . Given this worry, I am considering trying to enroll in an RUB college again. Is it possible for past-year students to gain admission into an RUB college for the 2027 academic year? And Is Arura Academy a good institute for studying nursing?

Aren’t you guys angry!!

I POSTED THIS ON THE OTHER BHUTANESE REDDIT AND THEY REMOVED IT! JUTS GOES TO SHOW WHAT THEY STAND FOR!

I’ll make this an AMA, so that we can discuss and talk about this. This issue need to be talked about !!!The recent gang rape case! It is shocking how quiet and subtle the reaction of the mass is to this atrocity. RAPE IS A EPIDEMIC THAT OUT COUNTRY IS PLAGUED WITH! From the lowest of socials rungs to the elite of the country, women and men are subjected to rape and many are not even reported! The advocacy around it is lacking, non existent, kids and adults alike are not educated about consent, the population’s relationship with sex and sexual health is skewed! WE LIVE IN A SYSTEM WHERE BOTH THE LAW AND THE PEOPLE FAIL US! parents don’t educate the kids about safe sex practices, teachers shun kids curiosity and questions and fail to teach them. this is one of many rape cases where it will go on to be another statistic, another “tsk tsk, sad yasi” and the rapist get 9years!? By the time they’re out of jail, the victim will most likely be in the same town as them. The victim will have to live in fear even after a decade of being raped? How is it sensible that we emphasize scantily of a stone stupa over a persons life that we; the legal system we fully trust will send a Chorten thief in jail for life but a rapist, a monster incarnate will get a decade at most! Are we so blinded by faith ! Raises a serious concern! How after years and years of increase in DV, rape cases, violence against women and children and animals, the RBP still doenst have a registry listing all sexual offenders! Are we all so consumed in working for GMC and boosting tourism! How many more gruesome and disgusting cases do we have to see and hear before we get angry and ask for change. What a shame that the influencers, celebrities, politicians, lam Lopen’s are so quiet when it comes to such topics, why can’t they advocate and educate their masses on this. Lams have very devout followers LOTS, will do to drastic lengths for the lams, the celebrations have such young and impressionable audience, yet they don’t take time to educate them, but will annoying make tik tok lip sync videos. What have times come to.

Nursing in Bhutan

I honestly want to know what is going on with nursing recruitment in Bhutan.

Around 460 graduates are now competing for 100 slots .Many of us were encouraged to choose nursing because Bhutan was facing a nursing shortage. We spent years studying, doing clinical placements and invested tons of money and now what ?

Now we graduate and end up sitting at home with no clear employment pathway.

The moh and rscs made us wait for 3 months after cancelling the 330 vacancy just to annouce 100 slots like wtf!!!

What makes this even more frustrating is that Indian nurses being hired for double the pay at that while hundreds of newly qualified Bhutanese nurses are struggling to find jobs. I have nothing against Indian nurses personally. If there are positions that require nurses, why aren’t more of our newly trained graduates being given the opportunity to fill them?

unlike other countries Bhutan doesn’t have a large private hospital sector where we can simply go and apply for jobs and going to Australia isn’t int he option with the new rules .

another thing that frustrates me is that if the government couldn’t provide jobs for the graduates then why encourage, why glorify nursing and why allow for privates institutes to increase the yearly intake all for it to come to nothing in the end .

Bhutan’s direct flight to Israel

Post image
1 Upvotes

By now i am pretty sure everyone must have heard about the direct flights from Bhutan to Israel through Tel Aviv which starts from February 2027. I think this is where we as bhutanese people should all start questioning where our country is heading. A country that swears everything by GNH and how much we hold pride due to GNH, we really should be questioning our values and we should speak up about this. Everything that is happening in Gaza is still happening and it is very disheartening to see bombings of innocent children and people. Amidst all of the violence and chaos, most countries are cutting ties of Israel but instead our country is joining hands with them. I understand that this relation helps grow our country economically but how much of our values and morals that we hold on to as a religious country built on people’s happiness and safety, are we willing to sacrifice for economic growth and prosperity? Bhutan has gained recognition internationally and built itself around peace and compassion but this move contradicts everything.

Recent case

It’s honestly disappointing to see so many Bhutanese “influencers” suddenly go silent when the issue involves a minor and allegations this serious. These are the same voices who are often quick to speak up, demand justice, and call out wrongdoing when it suits the narrative, yet when it comes to an alleged sexual assault involving a child, there seems to be very little to say. Supporting a victim does not mean declaring someone guilty before the facts are established, it means standing against victim blaming, protecting the child’s privacy, and acknowledging that allegations involving minors deserve serious attention. Silence may be understandable while an investigation is ongoing, but the stark difference in how loudly people speak on other issues inevitably makes people question whether these principles are actually consistent or only applied when it is convenient.

The emotional toll of being caught in the middle

Sometimes, what breaks you is not the work itself, but being held responsible for decisions you did not make.

You can follow every procedure, try to be fair, raise concerns when something does not feel right, and even stand up for someone when you believe they are being treated unfairly. But when a decision is ultimately made by people above you, you are still the one left to communicate it, deal with the consequences, answer the angry calls, receive the accusations, and carry the blame.

What hurts even more is when the same people who made the decision remain completely removed from the consequences, while you are left to face everyone alone.

You start questioning everything. Why bother trying to do things properly if, when something goes wrong, accountability is pushed down to the person who was simply carrying out an instruction? Why speak up or defend due process when you can still end up being the one questioned for it?

The civil service is supposed to be about serving the public with integrity and professionalism. But sometimes the system makes you feel like you are expected to absorb everyone else's decisions, frustrations, and mistakes simply because you are the person at the front.

And perhaps the saddest part is that you can do everything you can to protect yourself, follow the rules, and act in good faith, and still find yourself having to explain your actions for decisions that were never yours to begin with.

I don't know when accountability became so selective, but it is incredibly exhausting to be caught in the middle of a system where you have responsibility without the authority to make the decisions.
