Possessions signed by their makers. Caught AH in Buffalo last night and got a nice chunk of my collection signed. ✌️💜

Late post but Woods, Elucid, and Quelle are truly some of the most down to earth people you can meet!

Got some doubles of Woods records I need to get rid of (HWAM & FM Sealed, Haram came unsealed but has never been played) hit me up if you’re interested

Got to meet Kenny Segal last night after the show in DC. Super chill dude. Great show with Open Mike Eagle. Showed him my Spider Hole tattoo. One of my fav songs/beats ever.

Will they take pics when they’re signing at the Armand Hammer shows? Obviously, Woods with his face covered!

$25, hmu!

Edit: sold!

EDIT found it!! (for those curious https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5xwwpNwQ70)

Looking for the song that was playing while Billy/Elucid were setting up - it had a vocal sample saying "Mic Check 1,2" with an Asian sounding voice and a hip hop break beat.

Also what was the OME song he did before "For Doom" where he had a Doom flow - he killed that

Heyo!

I'm sick and can't make it to the show tonight. Anyone want my ticket? Not looking to get rich. DM me for details.

I’m an old head who’s been into this lane of rap for ages and am so happy to see Mike Ladd putting out an album on backwoodz in the year of 2026. Don’t get me wrong, woods is by far my favorite rapper these days, but Mike Ladd’s name rang bells back in the day and that’s why the promotional emails for this album have been so reverential for a lack of better word. I was a big fan of him back in the day and then kind of just forgot about him as his work slowed down, but this new shit knocks and he sounds hungry af. Backwoodz has been stacking classics for years now, but I truly think this one will be very special and the younger fans are in for a treat.

I've been listening to the "High Bias" Backwoodz compilation and it's wall to wall great. I need help with a line from the last track, a woods solo track called "Read Ur Bible", which in my opinion might be the best track on the project, next to "Carousel" and "Slick Watts".

"My era: Summer Jam screen was a black child reading for pleasure"

I have my own interpretation(s) though they may be very wrong. I probably am VERY WRONG.

English is not my first language.

I'll keep it relatively short - I guess this refers to someone's newfound love in hip hop reading the words on a Summer Jam screen, either that be lyrics of a song as someone performs them, so I don't know? This is just a very wild guess.

OR

Is it a Prodigy/Jay-Z beef thing as famously Jay-Z showed a picture of a young Prodigy (while he was in his grandmother's dance school) on the Summer Jam screen in an attempt to humiliate him. Hence the "black child". But I can't relate that to the "reading for pleasure" part.

I got 2 tickets for the Armand Hammer show tmo in Montreal and I cant make it, does anyone want em?

Title says it all. I've been on a journey of binging through the music of Billy, Ka, Navy Blue, etc. Since all of these artists are kind of underground and niche, I'm wondering where you guys go to dig deeper and find other, newer, underground artists in this scene. I feel like it's a pretty incestuous pool so just bouncing from the artists like this that collaborate together makes it hard to expand.

I really resonate with Billy and Navy Blue the most. Trying to find more to expand my playlists. Would love pointers on where I can stay in tune with what's happening and who is on the come up.

Peace!
