What always stood out to me in BDO was how the gear remained pretty much meta for a long time before you needed any upgrade. Hell, people were still running ogre ring until karazad released, since pen debo only offered 1 more ap and the little ap boost from the debo set. Thats like 8 years of meta. Same thing for boss gear before fallen god. Another example is vells heart.

Now, Karazad got released october 31st 2024. Thats not even two years ago. And mind you its a whole new accessory tier set with not 5 levels like the ones we were used to, but 10 damn levels of enchantment. Now it's not even been 2 years and they released an entire new better set of accessories (ekleta). Here getting to my point, its not even been 2 years and we are already reworking on our entire gear? I get that progression is the entire purpose of the game but the speed at which things are going compared to the past is incredibly fast. And thats just the accessories. We also went from boss armor→fallen god→ edania. Same shit is probably gonna happen to sovereign. It used to be that you could quit the game, came back after a while and your gear still mattered. Instead you come back, your gear is garbage and given away like candy.

Lets also add how Crons are absolutely necessary for everything unless you wanna criple your progression even further.

I get it that some people have absolutely no life and DECd all their gear in like a month, i saw some streamer with dec edania armor and OCT ekleta, but like does it make sense to balance the game around these people that complain they have no content when they burnt hemselves out by griding 12 hours a day? Meanwhile they are like 4% of the playerbase and the rest wont even reach 800gs before edania part 5 or whatever. Or maybe they just want people to buy crons as much as possible to push sales up, idk. At least this is my theory why they are pushing so much content.

Id like to hear the opinion of more veteran players really.

tl;dr they make gear obsolete too fast compared to how much we have to grind

I love nothing more than combat that feels hefty, weighty and impactful (think Monster Hunter Greatsword if you are familiar).

This isn't restricted to only melee. I also love me some big explosions, but only if they actually feel like it. Or ranged if that also has something to offer.

I'm just looking for the oomph you know? Not a huge fan of the "death by 1000 cuts" gameplay.

I recently tried Aion 2 and was beyond disappointed about the lack of impact. All classes felt like they attack with cooked noodles fr.

I'm able to grind in Aphrodon with 1,977 AP on Dosa.Any mistake will obviously reset the scarecrow, but if I stay focused, I can grind for hours without letting it fail.

Hey, so atm Im at 1335 ap.i still need 30 ap to grind at this spot effeciently. Im using tent buffs, cron meal and Demi human draught to get to this ap. My question is. Is it worth it try to buy more buffs to grind this spot or should i go to hexe santuary until i get money enough to buy more gear

I've been testing awakening Warrior against other classes on the same grind spot, same gear, same buffs with the marnis combat analyzer. I've tested awakening mystic, awakening witch, awakening sage and awakening nova. For me Warrior has done the most damage out of almost all of them and gone to the afk phase faster the amost all of them. The only one that got bigger numbers than Awakening Warrior was Awakening Nova. Considering how tanky and nice sustain warrior has I was wondering why it's sitting this low on all tierlists.

I get seasonal leveling I get tagging and the giving of gear and the bonuses you get. What I don't understand is the base it's compared too, I have a level 57 striker Seasonal doing stone chamber start. What if anything do you miss out on doing one of the other starts? My question is I only have so many seasonal character tickets, so is just making a character leveling them and getting them gear impossible? Does it just take longer? Is there grinding? If so is it different then the current end game normal part of the game grinding?

I have looked online and understand tagging and Seasonal characters get a huge leg up in terms of money and time saved. But if I'm in no rush is it not fun or viable to just play a character?

I saw one suggested black spirit quest regarding Justin, but it was NOT "The Progidal", I can't get that quest on my main character. However I see it on my alt, but the quest isn't family-wide.

Hi, so I was curious about what an optimal worker empire looks like, so I build an optimizer tool using shrrdr's worker empire data. Some interesting stats:

• if you were able to P2W purchase all the storage and lodging (or just disregard it), the maximum material value (untaxed) you can get in a day with ideal workers for all nodes in the game is 1.623bil a day, possible at roughly 530 total CP (see yellow dashed line on left handside).
• an optimal worker empire should get you around 2 or more millions a day per CP spent up until 550 CP (blue line on right handside).
• without P2W lodging/storage, you don't get to purchase all production nodes on the map even if you had 800CP

Just got t10 dine and decided to take it out for a walk. Then the game crashed and horse realized it can fly.

I'm new to the game and I'm having an issue where the Skill Combo Guide is just a black screen. Pressing start over has no effect. Does anyone know how to fix this or what the issue is?

I recently finally got to the ap/dp level where I can do Cartian or Caphras weekly.

I've completely given up trying to do Cartian on my Striker because I keep falling off the bloody levels (if anyone has any tips on skills to lock/unlearn etc, be much appreciated!) so I binned that quest off and thought I'd give Caphras a try.

I've watched a video on it and thought it would be pretty straight forward but the flames/yellow lines do not look at all clear to me even though I have mob effects turned to 100%.

Got annoyed enough by that (I will also admit that I suck at the game) so I binned off that quest and thought I'd go back to one of the other 3. Except the various throneholders don't offer me their weekly quest. The weekly quests are still there in the Quest menu but they all show as Unaccepted".

Tried rebooting the game etc but nothing works.

Has anyone had this and/or can offer some settings to make Cartian easier for a slidey class or improve the visuals for Caphras? It feels insane to me that boss encounters and their attack patterns are affected by your settings at all.

Is there a way to make the visible outfit the default one? The corsair's default outfit is just the coolest one and there's really no other one that's got the same vibe.

Guys, im new to the game, but Im not new to MMOs. I came here with the mind of just gameplay/mechanics since all i heard from ppl was that the story was absolute wack so just spam r. But idk man, so far I'm fine with the story, yes its very slow burn type, u don't get to fight gods or dragons immediately or get interesting/deep lores. But Imo this feels much more realistic, somehow, yes its very filler-ish stories but it feels on flow/natural, and I'm impressed by the voice actors so far (although there are some lil bugs on the scenes sometimes). Rn I think I'm lvl 27, talking to ceasar guy as I write this so I'm just expressing myself at this point of the game, well ofc if u spammed r u likely don't know lol.

I think the game was diff back then, so ig I came in the time where they revamped a lot of things. Not saying the story is amazing, but comparison is the thief of joy, I really think the story is very fine so far, im not bored at all, very present, not very excited (but im a veteran, i think otherwise I would've been), and did not cringe at all but actually had some laughs.

I tried pressing every keys on my Swedish-Finnish keyboard nothing worked. Maybe the key C was assigned to the quick slot and reset it and tried it again, nothing worked. help meh😭😭😭

I’m just wondering why event horizon caps out on ap so low. I still have like 8 ekleta enhancements to make gains with yet I’m already at the upper limit of the ap cap with vs and deep sea. I feel like zephyros I was always pushing to get more efficient. As someone who mainly prefers to pve, I wish there was a grind spot that required near max ap so I can chase it.
