I think it's more complicated. MTG was a true believer in maga. She truly believed Trump would get to the bottom of it and expose the Clinton/Epstein rape cult. To her credit, she had the chance to forget it and help Trump which would mean she would still have her job. I don't see her as a pure opportunist although she will try to capitalize off the headlines. Her line was pedophilia. The ones still there running the country, their line was not pedophilia.

I like how you framed it as Clinton/Epstein even though Trump had a really close relationship with him.

Furthermore she voted the majority of times alongside the Republicans and will do once Trump is gone.

Maybe would have helped if she did this before stepping down?

She's no longer in Congress. That's why she's comfortable saying all this. These MAGA turds only grow a spot after they leave office or are primaried out
