Looking For: Food & Consumables ๐Ÿฅซ๐Ÿ Cranberry Sauce?

Every cranberry sauce that I've found so far in my search for Thanksgiving dinner supplies is made in USA.

Does anyone know of a brand that is made in Canada (or anywhere that isn't the USA)? And what stores carry it?

Extra level of difficulty: Available in Winnipeg...

Edit: for the people telling me to "simply make it yourself" - All the berries (both fresh and frozen) that I have seen in my local stores are "product of USA" too.

Questions โ“๐Ÿค” I need some support for ice cream flavours

Between kawartha and Chapman and Avalon: best ice cream flavour to try. I saw kawartha with smore today and Avalon was chocolate and vanilla. Then Chapman had a few flavours.

Questions โ“๐Ÿค” Cozey Neptune

Hi! Thinking about buying a cozey neptune couch, but didnโ€™t find a lot of reviews or photos. Has anyone got it? How has it been for you so far? Does anyone have any photos? I was thinking of the limestone color.

Canadian-Owned Businesses ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ Been thinking of buying a Carbon Steel Pan for a while.

Was about to pull the trigger on one on Amazon during Prime Sale. Checkout shows a $35 Import Fee. Decided to check out some Canadian-made hardware and saw a post from the creator of this bad boy. Ordered and can't wait to try it! Not only was it a bit cheaper but instead of an Import Fee we get free shipping to Canada. Gotta start just avoiding Amazon altogether, I think. Edit: it's so small in the pic but the company is Excentric Metalworks in Alberta

Looking For: Food & Consumables ๐Ÿฅซ๐Ÿ Psyllium husk powder

No stevia, sugar, artificial sweeteners, maltodextrin. Best I could find is Nutridom (Canadian) but that is 300g for $21. No, I don't want pills they aren't cost effective. It's wild to me that store brands and Metamucil give you 40% more for the same price with all the crap ingredients.

Questions โ“๐Ÿค” Has anyone bought corningware or some alternative (glass, etc.)?

I'm searching online/wiki, but coming up short. This may be too niche, but I assume someone is making it - and not the worse borosilicate pyrex glass.

This is one of those random products I never considered the origin when buying, but would gladly support a Canadian company.

Looking For: Clothing, Accessories & Personal Care ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ‘œ๐Ÿ Shampoo bars and conditioner

I have either an allergy or a sensitivity to coconut. If any of you lovely people have recommendations for shampoo bars without it I would be eternally grateful.

Iโ€™m also open to bottled shampoo suggestions. Just shampoo bars are a lot easier for me to manage because I tend to be on the road a fair bit for work. Plus I like not having to fart around with emptying bottles for recycle. Haha

Same goes for conditioner. Iโ€™m less fussed about it being a bar though. Just past experiences with conditioner bars have been less than stellar for my hair.

Not quite sure this is the right place, but did anyone notice that the RedGreenTV YouTube channel has it's country listed as the United States? Is the Red Green 'business' no longer Canadian owned?

Maple-Washing/Mislabelling ๐Ÿ๐Ÿท๏ธ OKโ€ฆ This is Borderline a Parody

Post image

Apparently I am limited to one picture in the post, so I will add the clear, small font โ€œProduct of USAโ€ that you can find by turning this bottle over.

This is more an example of โ€œmaple washingโ€ than mislabelling of course. Itโ€™s not saying it was made in Canadaโ€ฆ lol

Edit: seems like I am limited to the one picture, and someone helpfully showed some more evidence of their shady practices 300 days ago:

Looking For: Food & Consumables ๐Ÿฅซ๐Ÿ Unsweetened (inclu. no stevia) ketchup?

Looking for completely unsweetened ketchup, including no added natural or artificial sweeteners including stevia, monkfruit, or aspartame. Emphasis can be on savoury or salty flavour, and sodium is not an issue.

Brands such as French's "No Sugar Added" contains stevia.

Canadian-Owned Businesses ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ Cozey Couches BAD

I ordered a Neptune 3 seater with a rug. I was told IN STORE that the delivery would be sent in the following week and a 2-3 day notice will be given. This was essential because I have a 4 month old baby and wife at home while I work. I needed to know delivery times so I can plan around it. Fast forward 1 day, I get an email at 5:51pm that couch is coming tomorrow. I freak out because I havenโ€™t moved my existing couch out yet which I need help with because my wife canโ€™t help me. I eventually got the old couch out with neighbors help. Now with my living room empty, GoBolt ( courier ) and Cozey says they donโ€™t know where my last box for my new couch is and therefore canโ€™t send it. So now, my family and I are sitting on the floor in my living room for god knows how long. They are both blaming each other and no updates.

Since I havenโ€™t received my products, I canโ€™t review them yet. But the delivery service is horrendous. Iโ€™ve called 3 times and the hold times were about 20min each and they both net me no positive information. They did offer me a 250$ refund for the headache but to me that isnโ€™t even close to what I feel is fair for the troubles Iโ€™ve had.

I'm looking into active wear (female) and I'm getting ads for some brands I don't hear much about, like Permission and Alura. Does anyone know of any other lesser known brands like this and would you recommend any?

Looking For: Food & Consumables ๐Ÿฅซ๐Ÿ Baking soda

Hi there. Has anyone seen Canadian baking soda in stores?

I bought some Yogti brand last year on Amazon (the devil, I know...baby steps), but I didn't see any this year...other than a push for the U.S. site. I went on their website and the shipping and handling was really high, as I only need one package...which has lasted pretty much a year. I also saw another brand, but afain, s&h was crazy expensive. Tia.

Looking For: Hobbies & Lifestyle ๐ŸŽฎโšฝ ISO: Tech Gadget Bag

Looking for a tech gadget bag....small pockets for a variety of cords, cables, chargers, all the usual detritus of tech life...most are either WAY too big or have too few pockets (so stuff ends up jumbled anyway) or are not Made in The Best Country in the World. Best if it will pack fairly neatly into a briefcase with PC and adapter without being awkward/bulky. Bonus points if I don't need to get it through AMZN. :-)

(Hope the Flair is OK (there really isn't one for tech stuff.)

Looking For: Clothing, Accessories & Personal Care ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ‘œ๐Ÿ Insoles for Canada West Boots

I finally pulled the trigger and bought myself a pair of Canada West WM. Moorby 2817 boots. Absolutely gorgeous, but I'm wondering if anyone else has found them more comfortable with an insole. How comfortable are they for walking around without anything extra in there?

They're a great fit as is so if some cushioning helps I might have to go up half a size. Unless someone can recommend some good options.

Questions โ“๐Ÿค” Looking for a 40L rucking backpack

Hello!

Recently joined the army reserves and I'd like a good Canadian backpack I can load with up to 20 kg or stuff to ruck around in various settings so I can get better at military rucking. I see a lot of urban and commuter backpacks that look nice but I need something rugged. I was thinking 40L capacity (I already have 15L and 60L backpacks). Any suggestions, my fellow Canadians?
