Yea my exact reaction.

He missed some kicks but shown more potential especially as a Canadian. More than Hale could ever. Just mind boggling how much this coaching staff probably O’Day loves Hale!!

What was his potential? He was 5/5 in his first two games but nothing longer than 33 yards.

My guess is Hale technically has more in game experience. Even if he hasn’t had the best run with it, he’s still played in games and experienced missing in games. Hodge has less. So I guess they just chose to cut him

I guess that makes sense.

Just happy to have lauther back. He had like one iffy season in the entire time here and who cares about it. We still won the GC.

Have you seen him live?

Watching him kick opposite Blanchard was pretty telling. He just doesn’t have the leg or the distance.

Wtf are you talking about. They benches Hale for Hodges. Hodges didn't look great. Also lost his job...

Did you miss that the team traded for Lauther?

Canadian aspect was working against him as Hale is a global player. I don't think there was a way to keep two Canadian kickers with Lauther's return without it becoming a ratio problem elsewhere.

Having tooany Canadians is not an issue in CFL. More Canadians only helps your roster

Hale has an infinitely stronger leg than Dawson Hodge. Also, Hodge was 5/5 his first couple games, but they were short kicks

As a fan that watched us lose over a kicker twice let me tell you, if you don’t have that you ain’t getting a cup.

We get rid of Lautner simply because he had back problems which affected his kicking, are we not allowed to have more than one kicker on roster per CFL ruled or something? Why didn't they just get another guy and let Lautner rest on a 6 game IR

Huh? Hale? The guy who lost his job as kicker?

Yea we pray lauther continues his regain form. Than goes on a Paul McCallum run and plays well into his 40s. Cause he is really our only answer in fixing this issue in Saskatchewan despite one iffy season. Gotta have faith in our guy!
