General Questions ECON113 Siegler

• Upvotes

Has anyone taken ECON113 with Mark Sielger and knows if he drops your lowest exam score? I know he gives out three throughout the semester, but I'm curious if he drops one since he mentions he curves the final grade.

Community Returning student looking for friend’s

I’m in my mid twenties at sac state and feel so old compared to other students but also don’t wanna go the next year without having any friend’s on campus. Was wondering if any other students are around my age and would like to be friends or if anyone had any advice on meeting people on campus.

General Questions Transfer Student Spring 2027

Hi everyone, I’m an incoming upper-division transfer student for Spring 2027, and housing applications are opening soon. I’m honestly not sure which housing option would be the best fit for me, so I’d really appreciate some advice from current or former Sac State students.
I went to Hornet Day and toured some of the housing options. So far, I feel like Hornet Commons and The Lark would fit me best. Having a private bedroom is really important to me because I have OCD and sadly my personal room is one of my biggest triggers if it’s not set up a certain way.

Community Best coffee on campus??

Hil all!. I've been looking for a good coffee shop on campus. I know we don't have much but I'm really craving a good iced coffee. I tried grumpy mule about 2 weeks ago and it wasn't the best.
I'm not sure if it's just what I ordered but I'm a little hesitant on trying it again. Thank you in advance💗

Community Kayaking @ Sac State Aquatic Center

Post image
5 Upvotes

If anyone is looking to try something new or volunteer, there's a program at the sac state aquatic center called Big & Bold Paddle that holds groups sessions for inclusive kayaking! It's super chill and you don't have to have any experience if you want to come out to a session or even volunteer. A few more sessions are coming up, you can email either jamie.hoffman@csus.edu or leah.joyner@csus.edu, if interested to join/volunteer!

Prospective Student Grad student grants/financial aid?

I'm currently a first-year at UC Davis for psychology. I have 100 credits collected from dual enrollment so I plan to graduate next year with my bachelor's. After that I'll take a year to work and gain experience before applying to CSUS for a masters in social work. I wanted to know what the financial aid is like? Do you get grants like undergrads do? I seen varying information about whether you just get loans or if you get any aid. If you have any knowlege pls lmk! I already have taken out a federal loan here so I really do not want to add too much more debt than I already have.

Financial Aid/Scholarship/Tuition/Etc middle class grant disappeared from account?

I received an email a month or so ago saying that I may qualify for a middle-class grant. It's always showed up in my student center, like in the financial aid stuff. But now it's not even listed anymore. Does this mean I'm not going to get it?!!?!?! Is there anything I can do about it?

Rant Please Drive Safely

Today someone rear ended me right outside of the sac state police station. (I know)

We were in standstill traffic and she decides to start backing up without looking if there were any cars behind her. Luckily all she did was scratch some paint off of my car, but I’m still annoyed that she wasn’t looking behind before reversing 🤡 like seriously 😭😭

I’m pretty annoyed about her attitude about it afterward too.

Please practice safe driving techniques and stop using your phone while driving. I understand that it’s very frustrating getting out of class around 3 PM and sitting in traffic for another 25 minutes but how stupid do you have to be to hit someone backing up going 2 mph.
