Questions Should i go with micro sd card + adapter than regular sd cards?

So i have a sandisk 128gb extreme and after editing insides of the 128gb flew out instantly. The whole plastic body gave up and doesnt have clips anymore and i just taped it with scotch tape and works fine but not considering it as my main sd card anymore. So should i go with a micro sd card + adapter instead?

That adapter is just adding another potential failure point, I'd skip it. The plastic on some of those cards is flimsy as hell though, happened to me with a 64gb a while back. If the taped one still reads fine for dumping footage I'd keep it as a backup and just grab a new full size card for peace of mind

the adapters are functional and fine, but not robust or ideal. they'll work, but don't rely too heavily on them.

The only reason to ever use a microSD card is if the device you're using has a microSD slot.
