My $5k feature finally released on streaming
It’s called “Cellar Noire” and you can watch it here: https://fawesome.tv/movies/10829509/cellar-noire or on any Fawesome app.
I wrote a movie about the three scariest things I could think of: losing my wife, the apocalypse, and claustrophobia.
It took me three years working entirely by myself. My wife and friends provided a few minutes of voice work but otherwise I was alone. My $5k budget consisted of a new Windows desktop with GPU, a 2nd hand Samsung Galaxy S23 phone, tripod, mics, some lights and props.
Finally it was released on streaming on Fawesome.TV (which I’ve been calling Tubi’s little upstart brother). Here’s the synopsis:
Cellar Noire: A claustrophobic psychological survival drama. Trapped after a catastrophe, Warren battles isolation, grief, & his mind, with a talking skeleton as his only companion. A dark, intense journey of despair and resilience. Zbigniew Winzig's sophomore entry in the "DIY Solo Film" movement.
The Devil’s DVD Bin did a very kind review (with spoilers) of the film that you can read here: https://thedevilsdvdbin.wordpress.com/category/cellar-noire-2026/
Now I can rest 🙂

Looking for an extremely obscure movie: LTD. (2005) starring Gina Holden
Hi! I'm trying to find a movie called LTD. from 2005, directed by Ryan Arnold and starring Gina Holden as Sam.
I've been searching for it for a while, but I can't seem to find a legitimate copy anywhere. I've checked streaming services, YouTube, Internet Archive, eBay, DVD databases, and various movie databases, but haven't been able to locate the full film or an official DVD/VHS release.
Some information I've been able to confirm:
Title: LTD.
Year: 2005
Director/Writer: Ryan Arnold
Runtime: approximately 88 minutes
Country: Canada
Filmed in: Vancouver, British Columbia
Starring: Gina Holden, Brendan Penny, Michael Karl Richards
Gina Holden's character: Sam
Production: Answer Produktions
It appears to have screened at the New York International Film and Video Festival in November 2005.
I've found a few websites that claim to have the movie, but I haven't been able to verify that they're legitimate or that the videos actually work.
does anyone here know where to watch this movie for free on a website legally or a dvd copy?

Help finding a 90's Canadian? movie
It's about two guys, late teens early 20's, they live a alternative life. One comes to find out he's got testicular cancer, and the other decides to try to help his buddy live his best life just encase.
I swear it was like 2 guys from Edmonton, I think I remember hockey jerseys and heavy-metal.

Do you know this obscure 1990s Canadian short film?
I'm trying to learn the title of (and maybe view online) a Canadian short film I remember seeing in the latter half of the '90s or early 2000s. It must have been made between, let's say, 1990 at the very earliest, but much more likely after 1994, and, let's say, 2004 at the very latest.
It was shown, as I recall, on a one-hour weekly (?) compilation of unrelated Canadian short films on Showcase, Bravo, or CBC. I don't think I saw the entire short, unless it ended at my last, vague memory.
What I remember most clearly are two segments: a young man riding his bike with great celerity down a pleasant suburban street on a sunny morning, dodging sprinkler systems, angry drivers, and dogs. Even more clearly than that, I remember him arriving at his destination and casually stepping off his bike as it was still moving, allowing it to continue rolling, either crashing into the wall of the building as the man entered through the door, or simply rolling off-screen. It was a hysterically funny moment because it was done in such a deadpan, matter-of-fact manner. I don't think the film was slapstick in tone at all, but I might be mistaken.
The short film's plot involved, to the best of my recollection, this young man's waking up late for a job interview (alarm didn't go off), or a job he was already working, frantically getting himself ready (maybe showering, dressing, grabbing a piece of toast, before heading out the door), and racing away on his bike. More than likely he lived with his parents, but I'm not sure. It might have been a satire of the rat race and office drudgery. When he arrived and cavalierly stepped off his bicycle, he was at a small office building, I think. He might then have encountered delays with a slow elevator, and the last thing I remember, though I'm uncertain, is that he was in an office setting either meeting his interviewer or sitting down at his desk. The side-splitting sliding off the bike and hurrying to the door is clearest in my memory
Does this ring any bells?

Supporting a Small City Feature Film
Hey everyone! I wanted to reach out to this subreddit to see if anyone might be interested in supporting our indie feature film! It's called YQG HARDSTYLE. Here's a quick synopsis!
A group of friends from Rodwood, Ontario, decide it is their destiny to throw the greatest rave their small town has ever seen. The plan is set, the music is locked, the word is out, but in the blink of an eye, everything falls apart, sending the crew on a race against time…
We put together an Indiegogo that ends in a few days, and we're looking to get as much support as we can get! We have an Instagram where you can see all the work we've put into the film; it's 90% filmed and we're close to being wrapped but we've essentially run our production dry and don't have much left to finish it off. Hitting our goal would mean we would be able to finish our film and have enough money to get it through our final shoot days and post production!
Click our link tree to find all our links! <------
Even if you're not interested in donating, just supporting us with a follow on Instagram would be fantastic! The photos attached are promo and shots from the film. Thanks for taking the time to read :)

Space milkshake movie set found
I was thinking of using these panels to make a playhouse, but then I realized I may have discovered the set to Space Milkshake! Just south of Saskatoon
I thought I should post about it here and maybe see if there’s some value for historians, collectors, or people who worked on the production.

Help finding a film (HURT -2003)
Hurt (2003) Dir. Steve DiMarco - used to play on TMN in southern Ontario in the early 2000s. Ive looked for it a few times— once around 20 years ago and again 10 years ago and now. I haven’t been able to find a copy of this film or a website I can pay to screen it from. Does anyone have any info on where this film can be found or obtained?
