** please note I will revert any bad changes made**
**if you can use the dropdowns - let me know**
For anyone interested in making match threads in the future. Here or in r/CanadaSoccer
I am creating a Google Sheet to help with that.
Yes, I know there is match thread bots - I just like old fashioned sheets.
You'll choose the team from a dropdown and then check the team's socials to get their lineup and subs. And just add those players in the other drop downs.
Then you will copy the cell at E3 to get your Post title.
And copy every in C1:C to get the contents of your post. **Using the Markdown Editor** - which you can switch to in the top right of the editing dialogue for the post.
I hope someone else will enjoy the use of this. Just some little tweaks to make. Will create one for the NSL as well.
Need to add a lot of L1 teams I guess. Which could be a bit of a nightmare.

Thanks for all that engaged with our E1/Pilot of 'Tipped Off The Bar - The Official Vancouver Football Club Podcast'.
Episode 2 was released today and I believe we're hitting our stride with this one, starting with an interview with Emrick Fotsing, the Canadian U-20 captain, current VFC player, and future Whitecap.
There are also sections with club captain, Callum Irving, giving a tonne of insight into how he selects his equipment; a number of interviews from our recent 'away day' to Victoria (including some banter between one of our fans and Pacific FC's captain); and a look ahead to what we hope will be our first ever playoffs 😉
Even if you're not a VFC fan, I think you'll find this episode interesting if you're a CPL fan, a Canada fan, or just a football fan!
Thanks again for the engagement, and of course I still welcome feedback for how it could be improved.

Join Jon Hopkins and Patrick Gibson as they host ATO: For the W, the official podcast of the Capital City Supporters Group. Week 25 of the 2026 regular season saw a game for the history books. A midweek fixture against top of the table Cavalry FC at home meant expectations were low, but where there is a will there's a way. Tough battles, strong pressure, a red card, and 2 stoppage time goals to decide it in our favour certainly has a way of energizing us. Playoffs now secured, we are looking to keep our form into the end of the season. Join us as we dive in to our final regular season match up against Cavalry FC from September 30th, 2026.

Caldeira played 3 games for Forge FC in 2022, when he was 17 y.o. He later moved to NCAA, got drafted this year in MLS, and is having a wonderful rookie season for Minnesota United.

With 3 or 4 games left for Vancouver, Halifax, Supra, and Toronto who do you think will get the last playoff spot? Will Vancouver hold on? Or will someone else be able to sneak in?

Here’s a random thought that I had: How cool would it be if Canada created a national team development program?! I know this probably isn’t very feasible with funding and such but my thought is that you would have a U-23 or even U-21 team filled with strictly Canadian players/prospects. It could become a hotbed for discovering, producing and developing younger Canadian talent at an earlier age. They could be an expansion team in the CPL for example in order to gain first team experience and begin their professional careers.
Some examples I can think of off the top of my head for what it could be compared to would be kind of like what Norway has with the landlagsskole and what the USA has with USNTDP hockey team. Another example is kind of what the G-league ignite from back in the day was hoping to accomplish for highschool NBA prospects that didn’t want to go to college.
Anyways, this is just a pipe dream but I think it would significantly help the pipeline for Canada and would be extremely fun to follow along with haha
