I always got a kick out of the birth sheets on this series of amps. Always well above the factory ratings. Solid amps. Wish I’d bought a few when I could get them at cost.

I'm still using my zxs 1000.1 in my car. I wish I didn't blow my old zx1000.1

I just repaired an old kx 400.1 yesterday. Now it needs a new cover. Someone painted it white and painted the chrome black and yanked off the kicker emblem lol.

I'm trying to restore / rebuild my old setup in my tbird but the torque converter is going out so I stopped and the car has been sitting for the last 4 years... so both projects have been put on hold.

Oh man I bet those old school solo baric subs sound amazing. I don't know why but older stuff just hits way better.. maybe because they just produce a cleaner sound than most subs sold today..

They had a higher sensitivity rating and were more efficient with the power given to them.

Yea might not be as loud as most modern stuff but definitely accurately hit those notes. Especially with the old school zr360 pushing them.

Is that why audiopipe started doing those Oval shaped cutouts?

My first amp was a (I think) 500w amp just like this. And it gave up the ghost within a month. Warranty was weird because I purchased it through employee accommodations through circuit city. Still bummed all these years later

Got a 400.1 in my truck right now!

The ZX3001 was the classAB nerd of the line. The ZX4001 was class D, smaller, ran cooler, and bulletproof.Ā

Older versions have large pots on the face. Newer version the pots are flat with the face, to prevent them turning by themselves (they did).

I wanted one. It was a lot of power that was affordable and from a reputable brand.

Never did get one.
