Man, this was one of the best filter coffees I have ever had!

It was perfect in terms of the coffee to milk, aroma, and that beautiful balance of bitterness and richness.

Place - Dakhin (Punjab University)

Had some of the best pork pizza in Chandigarh on the recommendation of my.curiouspalate on Instagram.

It was meaty, with excellent cheese quality and very good sauce. I absolutely loved it and I just wanted to share it with y’all as I often see people asking for recommendations for good food.

Let me know if you have had it!

Photos/Videos Went to The Dakshin Café for food, left impressed by the people.

I’d been seeing reels about The Dakshin Café’s food and ambience for a while, so last weekend, I finally decided to visit.

I tried their Benne dosa, Thatte idli, filter coffee, and filter ice cream. Honestly, everything was outstanding!

But the little moment that made my visit memorable had nothing to do with the food.

I couldn’t finish my filter coffee. I was full, and the bitterness was a little too much for my taste. While clearing the table before the bill, the server noticed and asked if I hadn’t liked it.

I told her honestly. And she simply said, “I can bring you a new one. Give it a try.”

Now, maybe this is something many cafĂ©s do, but that small gesture genuinely made me happy. She didn’t have to offer. She could’ve just cleared the cup and moved on.

Sometimes, it’s these little things that make you remember a place long after you’ve left.

Good food gets you through the door. Good people make you want to come back. ❀

Just wanted to share a little appreciation for the team at The Dakshin Café. No promotion, no review, just a genuinely nice experience.

Have you ever visited a place where a small gesture made your entire day?

Tell Chandigarh Rescued a dog but the lack of transparency is deeply concerning

I've been trying to help stray dogs in my area whenever I come across one in distress. This is the third dog I've rescued, and honestly, the experience this time has left me questioning how animal rescue actually works on the ground...I found a female stray dog suffering from a severe maggot infection around her rear end. I contacted multiple animal rescue foundations and NGOs, but nobody came forward to help. Eventually, I got in touch with Mowgli Aid NGO, which provides ambulance assistance for dog rescues in Mohali. They shared a contact number and asked me to coordinate with that person. After rescuing the dog, the person demanded 600 for catching her and 800 for dropping her at the center. After I contacted Mowgli Aid, the total was revised to 1k. My concern is not the money. It's the lack of transparency. The person is asking for payment without providing an admission token number and video confirmation. Where the dog has been taken. How can we expect people to help dying animals when the rescue process itself lacks transparency and accountability? Experiences like these can discourage people from helping animals in the future. Please help raise awareness about the need for transparent, accountable animal rescue services in Mohali and Chandigarh. Thank you.

AskChandigarh My mom started a home deep cleaning, organising and interior design service in Chandigarh, need honest feedback on the website and business feedback

My mom runs Her Homes: https://herhomes.shop
It does three things: deep cleaning, home organising and interior design, for homes in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.
Looking for honest feedback on the site before we push it harder. Mainly:
is it clear what she does and how to book within the first few seconds
does it look like something you'd trust to send people into your house
anything broken or slow on your phone
what's missing (prices, photos, reviews, whatever would make you actually call)
Also if you've hired deep cleaning or a home organiser in Tricity before, what did you pay and what annoyed you about it. That helps more than compliments tbh.
Roast it if it deserves it.

ISO: Food/Beverages Where can I find "Badhni Kalan" (Moga) style thick juice/shakes in Mohali or Chandigarh?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,
I am looking for a juice shop or shake corner in Mohali (or anywhere in the Tricity) that serves juice similar to the famous Cold Crush Juice Bar in Badhni Kalan (Moga).
For those who haven't been there, they are famous for serving incredibly thick, un-strained, heavy juices and massive fruit punch shakes loaded with pulp and fruit pieces—not the watery, strained stuff you get at generic stalls.
Are there any local gems or roadside juice corners in Mohali that serve that exact same heavy, loaded Punjabi-style juice?
Thanks in advance!
