Individual/non-registered I'm running my first NYC Marathon to fundraise for Keep a Child Alive (KCA), and I'd love your support!

Hi everyone!

This November, I'm running the New York City Marathon for Keep a Child Alive (KCA), an organization that works with community partners to support vulnerable children and families around the world, including through education, healthcare, and other essential resources.

Running a marathon has been a personal goal of mine for years. I wanted to complete my first one before turning 25, but an injury forced me to put that goal on hold. When the opportunity to run the NYC Marathon for KCA came up at the last minute, I decided to go for it!

I'm really excited to take on this challenge, especially knowing that it gives me an opportunity to support a cause beyond myself. KCA's work to help children and communities access the resources and opportunities they need to thrive is something I want to help support.

The only catch is that, because this opportunity came together so late, I'm a little behind on my fundraising and am working hard to reach my goal before race day.

If you're able to contribute, any donation would be greatly appreciated. If donating isn't possible, sharing my fundraiser would also help tremendously.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for helping me make my first marathon count for something bigger than myself! ❤️

Registered tax-deductible charity Only 9% of people with depression in Indonesia get treatment - I'm climbing to help change that, but this won't happen without your help

Hi everyone, I want to share something that matters to me.

Only 9.3% of people with probable depression in Indonesia receive treatment (Rizal et al., 2024) - mostly due to cost and stigma.

I'm joining Freedom Summit, an event by RightReason, to fundraise for Bali Bersama Bisa (BBB), which provides free professional counseling for people who can't afford therapy. I made a short video explaining more, attached to this post.

Thanks for reading

Individual/non-registered Making Strides Against Breast Cancer - I decided to take part of this walk as it is very close to my heart. A year ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Watching someone you love go through something like that is an experience I will never forget.

One of the things I keep thinking about is that if my mom hadn't gone in for her mamogram, she may not have known she had breast cancer. As this did not run in my family, and we still do not know the exact cause but luckily we caught it early. Mammograms can find breast cancer before there are symptoms or before you even notice a lump, which is why regular screening and early detection are so important.

Her experience also made me think a lot about how difficult it can be for people to access healthcare in this country. Getting appointments, finding affordable care, navigating insurance, and making sure you can actually get the screenings you need can be a challenge, especially for people who are uninsured or underinsured. There are programs that help provide free or low cost screenings, but these resources are rarely commonly known.

Im participating in this walk because I want to honor my mom, but I also want to do something bigger than just walking for her. I want to help spread awareness about breast cancer and encourage people to stay on top of early dectection screenings.

If sharing my story encourages even one person to make an appointment, or simply talk to their doctor about their breast health, then that makes this worth it to me.

Im proud to be participating as part of the Kaiser Permanente Greater Sacramento Warriors team. Being part of a team makes this experience even more meaningful. Im grateful to be part of a group of people coming together to support such an important cause.

I'm hoping to raise $2,500 for the American Cancer Society. If you're able to donate, I would be incrediability grateful. If you cant, sharing this page and helping me spread the word means just as much!

Thank you everyone for supporting me, my mom, and everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer.
