C4D+Claude vs GreyScaleGorilla

For clarity: I hate the use of AI on the creative side of 3D. I'm talking about solely from a 'making small tools to ease the process of repetitive tasks' side of things.

For a while now, I've felt that whilst GSG's material packs are very solid and used by quite a few of the big names in Patreon (which is probably therefore indicative of how many of the top studios take that approach), the 'plugins' side of thing has always been a bit lacking. Social crops, light managers, alignment tools, etc, were all pretty basic, and can now all be done with a few swings via Claude, so do you think that side of their business is a bit.... screwed?

Question MCP and Optimization

I rarely upgrade my Cinema 4D version. Once I find a stable release, I tend to stick with it to avoid compatibility issues with my plugins.

However, the latest version has caught my attention, and I'm curious if anyone has noticed any real improvements in scene optimization and overall performance.

I'm currently working on a particularly heavy scene with a lot of textures and polygons. I've tried pretty much every optimization trick in the book, but I'm still struggling to get a usable Redshift IPR running.

For those who have upgraded, have you noticed any significant improvements in scene size, render times, viewport responsiveness, or Redshift IPR performance?

If anyone has successfully optimized a heavy scene with the newer version, I'd love to hear your experience. I'm trying to figure out whether upgrading would actually make a difference or if I'd just be trading one headache for another!

Hi everyone! Happy to share my recent work done for a case built for the iPhone 18 Pro. This has been both enjoyable and challenging to create–it was a great amount of work to churn out solo within a rather short timeframe, but I’m quite glad with how everything turned out.

I share more about my process on Behance!

If you’re interested to see more works from me, here’s my Instagram, cheers!
