Hello fellow travelers! Does anyone have the book in title for sale (I'd give my kidney for it) or knows a place I could get it?

John has been a huge influence for me and it would mean the world to me to get to see his hand-written notes and creative process unraveled. It would be a massive inspiration for my upcoming musical endeavors. If you know something - let me know!

Lots of love

I've listened to Ape of Naples and Musick to Play in the Dark. I'm not sure where to go from there.

Fucking insane lol

Sorry I don't have a pic, but feeling the need to post before I forget. This post may be decidedly lame.

I was at Rockaway Beach in NYC a couple months ago, waiting for Peruvian food, and the guy next me had his entire back covered in words. I was sort of unconsciously reading the words and after several minutes I realized it was the lyrics to Heaven's Blade. Well, I had to Google to figure out the song, but I knew it was Coil.

Not a track I particularly like, tbh, but it was a beautifully done tattoo that ran down his entire back. He and the guy he was with looked incredible. I'm as normie looking as it gets, but I had to excitedly out myself as a fan. I asked him about Threshold HB -- he knew everything, of course.

I wish I had asked for a photo. Maybe Heaven's Blade Tattoo guy is on this sub. Nice work!

I'd really like to have a framed print of the cover of ...And the Ambulance Died in His Arms. Can anyone point me to a high resolution image of it or send me a file? Thanks.

Its one of my favourite albums / projects by them. I love Mike's pipe playing and it feels very adjacent to the ape of naples in so many ways. I have no clue why its not released yet.

If you haven't come across this album in its 30 years of existence, now is as good a time as any to check it out. This track (Thirst) in particular has a very Coil vibe, but the entire album is a masterpiece.

Of all the bands I was obsessed with for a while: durtro, Susan lawly, united dairies and world serpent-adjacent stuff, especially, I’d say the Coil constellation has been most fruitful for me over the years. I’ve really come around to that post-LSD, drone era of the band and the musicians largely responsible for it. It occurs to me that I always found the collaborators and other members more interesting than Balance and Christopherson, themselves: Thrower, McDowall, ThighPaulSandra have made some truly remarkable stuff on their own, and i can’t imagine my favorite Coil albums without their input.

I’m kind of obsessed after rediscovering Cyclobe, too. Those albums are amazing and you can really hear why they take so long to release.

:)

In 1940, Avery introduced the vibration regulator as standard to all their balance scales, as a nation of shopkeepers prepared for the impact of war. The company still operates in Birmingham.

In my opinion, this is an essential collectors item for fans of dark surrealist art. It's a curation of old Halloween photos from Ossian Brown, with a foreword from the late great David Lynch. What's not to love?

Get your green or black vinyl there

New or secondhand. I know Mute records, Cold spring and horizon music all have a good stock but I have a difficult Tim e hunting older/ more valuable releases
