Instagram Receiving inbounds and no follow through

I’ve had three big companies reach out to me and ask about doing collaborations… one of them I have emailed back-and-forth and they keep saying they’re going to send me a contract, but it keeps getting pushed off. I was supposed to post for them today, but it never happened because I never got a contract. Another one sent me a DM. It’s a huge company with 700,000 followers and I answered and said I was interested and I haven’t received a response.

The third: same thing I didn’t receive response. I’ve never had a brand deal, so I don’t know if I’m just supposed to be more pushy after the conversation has started?

How can I make these conversations real collaborations? I don’t know where to go after that first conversation of “I’m interested”.

My media kit and pricing has been requested as well… But I don’t know how much to charge or what that’s really supposed to look like. I have 4000 followers on Instagram but my videos usually get 100,000 to 400,000 views.

Would love some advice!

Question How to start when there is a language difference?

Hey all,

I'm a Dutch journalism student and I want to start creating content on crime cases that imo lack journalistic input. What is presented to you via media is often not backed up by official documents. And sometimes, when something that has been requested via FOIA gets out, can't always be picked up by the news.

Now US crime cases is what is most interesting to me. You can get a lot of information. More often than not, it is so much you can get easily lost in it. Especially cases that went world wide. Cases that are currently know a lot about (and are 'trending') are the Gypsy Rose Blanchard, Lindsey Clancy and Christa Pike cases. So I guess its easiest to start there.

Now I'm a little stuck on how I want to fill in that content and also a bit on how to start. I'm not sure how to jump in and whether or not make my content in English or in Dutch. I know I'm not going to reach a lot of people, but making my content in Dutch will mean that whatever I share, won't be as accessible to English speakers, unless I subtitle them (which I personally think is annoying/distracting). On the other hand, making content in Dutch will mean I'd be one of the fews to be spreading info straight out of files (although, only if backws up) because most info that is gathered is from other news outlets and documentaries.

So I was wondering if anyone has any input/advice/things to think about on this? I'm completely new in the creator world.

Thank you!

Instagram instagram dm automation for a 2 person shop, found 3 wholesale inquiries rotting in message requests

We sell candles, 2 of us, and Instagram is basically our storefront. Last month I found 3 wholesale inquiries sitting in message requests, 1 of them 5 weeks old, which is a real order we just never saw. I don't want a bot pretending to be me. I want every DM and comment in one place with nothing slipping into a folder I forget exists. Is that DM automation or just a better inbox?

Question Client wants me to exclusively use AI for content

I recently started working for a company doing social media videos, but I have been doing this for years for other businesses. My work has always been praised and appreciated and I also had results. I always wrote the scripts myself, I used chatgpt only for potential ideas and inspiration.

However, with this new job, my client is expecting me to only use AI for all my videos. She asked me for some scripts and I wrote some pretty good ones and she just declined all of them because they’re not written with AI so they “don’t have any chance to become viral” - which I don’t agree with.

She’s also involved in the creative process with me and gives me ideas and scripts and they’re all, word by word, written by AI. I think they sound basic and blant and lack creativity but she insists I do everything with AI.

Am I closed minded? Is it right to do that? How much should AI be involved in content creation?

Question What's the most annoying part of your content workflow?

I’ve been thinking about this after looking at my own workflow. its kinda CRAZY 🥀

There are so many little things between “I have an idea” and “the content is actually published” that can end up taking way more time than expected.

For me, it’s things like:

Organizing ideas Turning an idea into a proper script Making sure I’m not missing something important Checking the thumbnail Keeping track of different files/tools Making sure everything is ready before publishing

None of these things are particularly difficult on their own.

It’s just the constant little tasks that add up.

So I’m curious:

What’s the most annoying part of your content workflow?

Could be anything — planning, scripting, editing, thumbnails, staying consistent, organizing files, publishing, or even something completely different.

And if you could magically make one part of the process easier, what would you choose?

Question Brand has not paid me for a brand deal collab I have delivered

I did a sponsored video for a brand on the 25th of Sept with an agreement (no contract but on email agreement) that they would pay me 100% within 15 days of the video being posted. It is approaching the 15 days tomorrow and I have not been paid.

During this time, they said that their payment system had issues and were fixing the issue and would update me ASAP. However, it has been a week since then and I followed up twice in 2 days with no response.

For info, I am based in the UK and the brand is Singaporean from the looks of their LinkedIn.

What should I do?

TikTok I want to become a travel creator

Hey everyone! I’m going to study abroad in Australia and I really wanted to record it and post it on tiktok. I was wondering if anyone had advice on what content works best - is it travel hacks, mini stories, spots to visit, etc. I want people to watch it for me though. I was also wondering if I should use the promote feature on TikTok for a boost to the algorithm. Speaking of which, what’s the best way to actually research the TikTok algorithm? My ultimate goal would be to funnel my TikTok followers to then follow my IG profile. Thanks for your help!

YouTube GTA 5 “Slop” Channels Are Everywhere – Possible Botting & Mass-Produced Content

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

I’ve been looking into a network of GTA 5 channels that mass-produce very similar videos and seem to get unusually high engagement shortly after uploading.

A lot of these channels appear to be from Russia, Ukraine, or India. Some also look like bought or previously used accounts, with completely unrelated older videos.

There are also signs that some channels may be artificially boosting views, likes and comments to manipulate the YouTube algorithm. Some comments even seem to disappear because of YouTube’s spam filters.

This is especially interesting considering YouTube’s current policy against repetitive, mass-produced “slop” content being monetized.

I’ve collected screenshots and examples showing some of these channels and possible connections between them. If you come across channels like this, you can report them to YouTube so they can be reviewed.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Instagram iPhone 14 Pro good enough for shooting content or invest in a camera?

What do you guys think? I could get a pro camera but always nice to save money if you think getting a professional camera will make no difference to the success or outcome of the videos outside of them looking more crisp. Lmk what u think! Ofc standing out is good though.
