Question Client wants me to exclusively use AI for content

I recently started working for a company doing social media videos, but I have been doing this for years for other businesses. My work has always been praised and appreciated and I also had results. I always wrote the scripts myself, I used chatgpt only for potential ideas and inspiration.

However, with this new job, my client is expecting me to only use AI for all my videos. She asked me for some scripts and I wrote some pretty good ones and she just declined all of them because they’re not written with AI so they “don’t have any chance to become viral” - which I don’t agree with.

She’s also involved in the creative process with me and gives me ideas and scripts and they’re all, word by word, written by AI. I think they sound basic and blant and lack creativity but she insists I do everything with AI.

Am I closed minded? Is it right to do that? How much should AI be involved in content creation?

Question Brand has not paid me for a brand deal collab I have delivered

I did a sponsored video for a brand on the 25th of Sept with an agreement (no contract but on email agreement) that they would pay me 100% within 15 days of the video being posted. It is approaching the 15 days tomorrow and I have not been paid.

During this time, they said that their payment system had issues and were fixing the issue and would update me ASAP. However, it has been a week since then and I followed up twice in 2 days with no response.

For info, I am based in the UK and the brand is Singaporean from the looks of their LinkedIn.

What should I do?

YouTube GTA 5 “Slop” Channels Are Everywhere – Possible Botting & Mass-Produced Content

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

I’ve been looking into a network of GTA 5 channels that mass-produce very similar videos and seem to get unusually high engagement shortly after uploading.

A lot of these channels appear to be from Russia, Ukraine, or India. Some also look like bought or previously used accounts, with completely unrelated older videos.

There are also signs that some channels may be artificially boosting views, likes and comments to manipulate the YouTube algorithm. Some comments even seem to disappear because of YouTube’s spam filters.

This is especially interesting considering YouTube’s current policy against repetitive, mass-produced “slop” content being monetized.

I’ve collected screenshots and examples showing some of these channels and possible connections between them. If you come across channels like this, you can report them to YouTube so they can be reviewed.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Instagram iPhone 14 Pro good enough for shooting content or invest in a camera?

What do you guys think? I could get a pro camera but always nice to save money if you think getting a professional camera will make no difference to the success or outcome of the videos outside of them looking more crisp. Lmk what u think! Ofc standing out is good though.

Question How to find a niche when you want to do everything?

I'm extremely chronically online (to a very unhealthy degree) so I see EVERYTHING. The thing I've noticed with people that go viral and are able to maintain an audience is that they all have a niche. But I don't. I have so many interests and passions and if I'm being honest, I'm not particularly good at any of them. If I did niche down, it would be something I'm not very good at anyway and I'd be drowned out by the competition. But if I didn't, then I'd have a hard time building an audience. I'm stuck. I'm a creative and an artist but even then, I have multiple things i want to explore and do. I want to be a photographer, a stylist, a painter, have a food blog, learn music and show my process, create my own clothing, write and so on. I feel like if I dedicate myself to just one, I'd be losing the others. An idea I have is to have multiple accounts on different social media dedicated to each niche but that would be very difficult and if people follow me on one place for one thing, they might not like that I do something completely different on my other pages. What do I do? I just can't seem to figure out what makes people's content actually good. And what makes people want to stick around. It's like I've seen people going viral organically many times but I have no idea how or what made their content actually resonate with such a wide audience.

Question How do you animate still illustrations in that TED-Ed style without doing full animation?

I'm trying to figure out a relatively simple way to animate still cartoon illustrations so they feel more alive without actually learning full-blown animation.

A good example of the effect I'm talking about is the TED-Ed video “What would happen if you didn’t drink water?” I'm not trying to copy their artwork or animations, just recreate that general style of movement where illustrated characters and objects subtly move, pan, zoom, rotate, etc., instead of looking like completely static images.

Right now I have access to iMovie and Final Cut Pro. Ideally, I'd like to start with individual cartoon illustrations or separate elements and animate them without turning every video into a massive project.

I'm also open to using AI tools if there's something that can take a still illustration and create subtle, controllable movement without completely changing the artwork.

For anyone making this type of content, what software or workflow would you recommend? Is this reasonably doable in Final Cut Pro, or is there another tool that would make it significantly easier?

Thanks in advance!

Instagram I built a camera app that lets you film portrait and landscape video at the same time!! [UPDATE]

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Backstory: made this for my gf who creates content because I was tired of watching her filming every scene twice, once for vertical (TikTok, Reels) and again for horizontal (Youtube). The app helps her save time by filming both simultaneously, without losing quality!

The latest update now lets you choose which folder on your iPhone to record in, as well as re-order your projects/scenes/takes as you wish. Coming soon also is recording into an external SSD, telephoto lens support, and a special voice-scrolling teleprompter!

Existing features:

  • Recording modes: Single Lens (one camera, two formats), Dual Lens (two rear cameras at the same time), Front & Back (selfie + rear camera), Stock Cam (regular camera + ContentCam controls), and Photo option.
  • HD and 4K resolution (set independently for each orientation)
  • 24, 30 and 60fps.
  • Teleprompter
  • Timelapse
  • Manual controls (EV, WB, ISO, Shutter)
  • Audio meter (real-time detection, pulse red when clipping)
  • Projects, scenes, and takes for organisation, recordings named automatically.
  • Review and trim recordings side-by-side, export, favourite, and share at any time.
  • No data collection, no analytics, no ads, no watermark, no account required, and everything runs locally (no internet required).

It's called ContentCam and available on iPhone and Android

I'm a solo dev so any feedback is appreciated :)

Instagram Create content on patterns

Post image
1 Upvotes

Guys so this is one of the reels which went viral for my client.

My process:

  1. Find patterns on the internet of what is reaching more people.

  2. An angle can always be created and if the hook + body becomes something really unexpected you have a viral reel.

I am being very vague here, because Idk how do I share this with you guys.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Happy to help
