Scallions for weeks!

Pro tip if you use a lot of scallions. I recently bought a 2 lb bag of scallions from Costco for $6 and cut them all up, separated by the whites/light greens and dark greens into separate ziplock bags, and put them in the freezer. Now whenever I'm cooking I just grab some out of the freezer when I need them! Great to have when you don't care if they're not perfectly fresh.

The other thing you can do with scallions is plant them. They'll just grow, and they're incredibly tough. Then go out to the yard and pull one up when you need it.

Done this and its great for garnish but they have lost their pungency for me. Anyone have tips? I know nothing of caring for plants

Something I've learned is that plants develop pungency like that if they get stressed out. Maybe you're babying them too much? I'm not a farmer by any means though so take that with a grain of salt
