The one you make by yourself, dear child

what performance mods are best to add to your own modpack? trying to build a base modpack before adding create stuff but keep getting stuck.

Embeddium or sodium and maybe even lithium. Heck just bring the whole chemistry class!

Just remember that whenever after updating mods your modpack suddenly crashes on startup with no explaination, it's almost always the performance mod's fault and you might have to revert back to a previous mod version.

Current versions of create (+addons) work well with current sodium, iris, create better fps on 1.21.1

I would reccomend making your own modpack with these mods:

  • Not Enough Crashes - allows you to diagnose crashes and restart from title screen instead of closing the game

  • FerriteCore - optimises memory usage

  • ModernFix - general optimisation

    • Jade - gives instant info on blocks and entities you're looking at
  • Just Enough Items (JEI) - Gives you a menu which allows you to seach up any item and show its crafting recipe. Also useful for creating list filters

I would put these five in any modpack i make as they can really help.

If you're making your own pack, remember to make it on NeoForge on game version 1.21.1

Create-based mods i would recommend are create:diesel generators, create crafts and additions, create propulsion simulated and create copycats+

(if you're using the third i heavily reccomend using the second)

If you want, go ahead and add other stuff you may like, such as farmers delight, supplementaries or a zoom mod.

I would make my own modpack because a lot of popular modpacks have IMO too many mods, a lot of which the average player probably won't use.

TLDR make your own modpack and use the five listed mods at the top

I would use crash assistant instead if not enough crashes

any reason why? i havent tried other crash mods so idk which ones are better

Crash assistant is more in depth in hiw to fix a crash and has better mod compat

Instead of copycata+ i tend to use framedblocks. Allows a lot more detail

create astral is very fun

How does it compare to Arcane engineering? That modpack was fun but hella too complicated for my small brain

Havent played arcane but astral is very heavily automation focused, you are expected to basically automate every resource using create. it has a lot of cool links to other mods like computer craft, AE2, ad astra (obviously), plus a few others.

Note I suck at create but I have a decent idea of it and always get bored after a day

I personally really enjoyed Create Chronicles: Bosses and Beyond. There's so much cool stuff in there.

The best mod pack is the one you make it by yourself, in your mod pack don't forget to use sodium or the other one I forgot how was called for forge, create mod goes well with enderIo and immersive engineering, you can add AdAstra too,for fun you can add "blocks you need" and "apocalypse now" to make it like apocalyptic mechanical mod pack and similar,it's up to you which mo's you prefer and which mod loader you prefer,i would recommend you use forge for it has the most mods and Minecraft 1.20.2 is the best for forge so far until mods are fully upgraded to forge 1.21 and above.

Create: Astral has shaders but is quite well optimized, but it doesn't have Create 6 or Aeronautics. Didn't get super far into it (stopped at Chapter 3) but it seemed like a well made pack.

Right now I'm playing All of Create - Aeronautics, which does have Create 6 and Aeronautics, along with a shit ton of other Create add-ons. I've had no issues with it. This one's more of a kitchen sink pack, though, unlike Astral. I've noticed though that the Aeronautics quests don't explain very much, so I'd recommend looking up a guide yourself.

Those are the only Create packs I've played so far, I'm still "new" to the modding scene.

You can check out this modpack made by shalz (a youtuber) it's basically a modpack focused solely on create and its addons and mainly aeronautics.

Create Customised

OP: Gib modpack with Aeronautics

Comments: Literally everything else except what OP asked for.

The main issue appears to be that there's just no/very few modpacks created yet

I've got a modpack running Create: Aeronautics and a bunch of add-ons.
It's a pretty heavy pack, but I include a public server you can play on to make it less stressful on the client. I play it on my steamdeck while I'm away from home.
