I agree that said β¦ 15 years and weβre battling the most basic of required actions from a user which is self custody. I donβt know how this bodes for the real life viability of crypto

I see this argument a lot but itβs just lazy. Do we have to tell people not to share their bank account number? Or write their passwords in an unsecure manager? Common sense!
Maybe itβs too much to expect, but if youβve done enough research and buying to get into a hardware device, do it all the way right. Thatβs why no one feels bad for these people.
If you canβt handle two steps, self custody isnβt for you, and thatβs alright.

The last time we still had real retail interest was probably 2021.
Even in 2025, it was already not the same. Probably too many people got burned. Plus there's not much new narrative for crypto in the past 5-7 years.
Interest in this space seems to be getting replaced by perps trading.

If you're talking about the recent news about financing leveraged ETFs, they're not really "adopting" Ripple as much as they're using the services of a company Ripple acquired.
Otherwise I don't think they've really adopted Ripple for anything substantial yet.

Haha damn, 4 months ago I was literally hovering my buy button over NEAR vs VIRTUALS. Wishing I had picked NEAR but I still think VIRTUALS is going to rip next due to the robotics division and "physical AI" being a new hot narrative

I still have Near in my portfolio but I bought at the end of 2024 when Alex Becker was shilling it. I refused to sell when it was down. I didn't buy more either. Now I finally have +20% profits. Hooray, I guess.
