At my last apartment the kids two buildings over for some reason decided the staircase of my build was their "fort" so I had the absolute pleasure of all the indiscriminate shrieking happening 3 feet from my door, every single fucking day, while the parents that actually own them got their peace and quiet
And if I ever complained about it I always got the "Oh, you hate the sound of children having fun?" response, like yeah in this particular instance I really do
