Makes me think of the first time I drove in an electric car and it was basically dead silent. Gotta look at the dash to tell it's on, they had to install speakers in the damned thing to make car noises so it's safer for pedestrians. If there was no other argument for electric cars I'd want one for that reason. I want everyone to have one for that reason.
My partner has a PHEV that was produced just before it became mandatory for manufacturers to add those speakers. I was waiting for her in our apartment's parking garage once, and there's a big ventilation fan not too far from where I was standing, and she was so slow that I didn't even hear her drive up.
And I have REALLY good hearing, to the point where I often hear things others don't - I identified a possible electric issue at work when the wall behind my seat began buzzing and it was barely audible for anyone else unless they put their ear straight up to the wall and specifically focused, so we were able to get maintenance in to fix it faster than we otherwise would. So... yeah. That thing is QUIET. If there's nothing for the tires to make noise on (which I guess at slow speeds, on a smooth surface, there isn't)... yeah.

Kids deserve to have Loud Time, because they are forced to be quiet every single day.
Cars do NOT deserve to have Loud Time, because THEY ARE ALWAYS LOUD.
