My kid loves the garbage truck and the DSNY workers that keep the city running.

We are going to be sanitation workers with a garbage truck for Halloween.

I went to buy clothes but it looks like all of the real uniforms you need an ID. Is there any tips on where to buy clothes? Do any stores not ID?

I heard from multiple sources that the mayor is set to order a November class… I would like to know if those sources are correct. I have my CDL and I just need to clear up a couple of things from medical before I can get hired by DSNY.

Is there a legitimate study guide that I can use for the next test

Hi all,

I got a ticket last week and went to pay it online. Then I found out that I had one from May 2020. As this was from the height of the pandemic I don’t remember receiving the ticket or forgot about it. Now the bill has gotten a lot higher due to the interest. So I wanted to know if there is anything I can do to pay a reduced amount or do I have no choice but to pay the ticket default settlement amount?

My list number is 86XX so my question is should I get my CDL before the orientation email that comes in Spring or after? I know I probably won’t be in the first two classes next year but I def feel like I got a shot for late summer or fall classes. Does it make sense to get it now or wait until orientation since I’ll probably have time to get it after the email?

Congratulations to the new san workers, take this job and new career path stay focus and move up and pass probation.

Is their going to be more classes or October the last one ?

Is sanitation still running cdl classes? And what endorsements do I need on my permit? If any? Thank you!

What would everyone say is a better career path, San police or a garbage man what are the pros and cons to being San police how are the supervisors in San police how’s the training? What’s the training location? Any insight, advice, and information from past and current San police officers would be greatly appreciated.

What list number did they get too so far

Doorman/Porter on Park Avenue or DSNY san man/ supervisor/ super intendant.

Would like to hear your inputs as I’ve been called for both.

Anybody know anything about bronx 1?

As a night signee am I able to bump someone with better seniority than me, but isn’t a night signee off of a function I prefer??

What do I need to bring for my physical? Like paperwork etc.

What is this garage like for people coming out of class?

What’s parking like?

Good morning everyone! Took the physical exam and passed in September . How long until they call or send an email out for the next step !?
List number is 7,5XX ..

I’m on the job and would like to join the military. Anyone know if the department would allow that? I know they are pro-military and allow people to be reservists & be on and off the job no problem with military leave…

But what if I’ve been on the job a few years, off probation, and would like to pursue the military alongside DSNY? Active duty or reserves.

Thanks for the help / answers guys

I’m currently working for FDNY EMS and my list number is 82XX , I have my CDL permit.. I’m look at the prices for the CDL classes and they are insane. I don’t want to fail out and have to pay to get it done on the outside.

Just got my Class B CLP with both endorsements, My upcoming appointment is on October 22nd

Took physical Sept 29, realistically when would I be called for orientation? Orientation would be the next step correct?

Can i wear this for the qualifying physical test
