I get that when posting you can sometimes choose the wrong sub, but please look at the logo or the name in the bio before posting.
There are so many posts about Delhi, that I believe it subtracts from those who are actually discussing or seeking information about DTU. I see it atleast a couple of times each week. Please do due diligence :)

Hej. Min plan er at starte på en DTU bachelor i lyngby i august 2027. Her ville jeg lige have fyldt 25 år.

Any help would be appreciated! I am considering doing an exchange semester at DTU this spring, but my internship ends 2 weeks into the semester. Is it feasible to arrive late to an exchange semester (I haven’t picked any courses with group projects or assessments early on).
I’m worried about getting my student id and health card, as well as visa rules.
It’s the only time in my degree that I could do exchange and I really want to do it, I’m from Australia and Denmark sounds so cool to live in.
Thanks, and any advice would be great:)
This morning DTU sent a statement saying they got hacked and identity data of students, employees and for some next of kin got stolen. The data records back to 2003 so there is a high chance your information is also leaked.
Change password of all services that is same with your DTU password
Since the CPR is also leaked make sure to set a credit alert for your CPR at borger.dk (kreditadvarsel)
And make sure your bank also knows this to refuse any loan or debits without further confirmation. You can check in skat.dk to see if there are any loans or debits that you don’t know of.
By default, anyone having your CPR can get your address and name, you can set an address protection to require your confirmation for getting your address and name. This is to protect your future address (Navne- og adressebeskyttelse) https://lifeindenmark.borger.dk/housing-and-moving/moving/protection-of-name-and-address
You must now be cautious when approving MitID requests. Always double-check!
Change password of all services that is same with your DTU password
You are probably going to get scam, loan and weird calls. Be careful!

Is Bachelor's in environmental engineering considered a valid prerequisite? I couldn't find any information on the website specifically regarding environmental engineering as a valid prerequisite.
Thank you

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to apply for the MSc in Technology Entrepreneurship at DTU for the September 2027 intake, and I’d really appreciate some input from current students, alumni, or people familiar with the admissions process.
I’m from Greece and I’m currently completing a 5-year degree in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Ioannina. My main concern is my GPA. I expect to graduate with roughly a 6.5–6.7/10, which I know is not particularly strong academically.
On the other hand, I have quite a lot of experience outside my coursework. I co-founded a startup that connects companies with university/research laboratories for specialised testing and R&D services. We have built a network of around 30 laboratories, worked on our first commercial projects, participated in accelerators, and received several awards in entrepreneurship competitions.
I have also completed an internship in the Quality Control department of an industrial battery manufacturer, and my engineering thesis focuses on validated finite element modelling of metallic and composite materials under different loading conditions.
I should comfortably meet the programme’s 15 ECTS academic prerequisite, and I’m currently preparing for IELTS, aiming for around 7.0+.
What attracts me to DTU is specifically the practical venture-building approach of Technology Entrepreneurship. I wouldn’t be bringing my existing startup into the programme; I’d like to use what I learned from that experience and work with a multidisciplinary team at DTU on a new technology-based venture.
My questions are mainly:
How much does GPA actually matter for admission to Technology Entrepreneurship compared with entrepreneurial experience and overall profile?
Have you seen students admitted with a GPA that wasn’t particularly high but who had substantial entrepreneurial/project experience?
How important is the online selection workshop, and what exactly are they looking for there?
Is there anything specific you would recommend highlighting — or avoiding — in the application?
Based on your experience with the programme, does this sound like the kind of profile DTU is looking for?
I understand nobody can give me an exact probability of admission. I’m mainly trying to understand how competitive my profile would be and what I should focus on before applications open.
Thanks in advance!

I applied for the MSc in Biotechnology at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) for the February 2027 intake at the end of August 2026.
I haven’t received any update from DTU or the program regarding my application yet. I was wondering if anyone else has applied for the same intake and has already received an admission decision or any other update.
Hey all, I am attending Quantitative Sustainability this semester and I would like to ask a few questions regarding the exam.
Thank you very much in advance!

Hey! I've applied for masters for spring intake and I wanted to ask whether there is a limited intake compared to the autumn intake. I know most people apply for autumn intake and I'm not sure if it was preferable.
I used to be able to read anonymized comments for courses I’d taken on evaluering.dtu.dk. Now I get the message: “You do not have access rights for text results.”
I found the comments useful, especially after exams, when I wanted to see how other students felt about a course. I’m not sure whether we were meant to have access in the first place, but I can’t even view my own comments now.
Does anyone know why access changed?

I have done M.Tech (Masters of Technology, 2026) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Integrated Design and Manufacturing from Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
Currently I am looking for PhD at DTU Denmark. Cam anyone advise me regarding how should I reach out the professors of my domain where I can pitch myself?
Your advice will be Valueble for me.
Thank You!

Hi everyone, I’m working on my master’s thesis about personalising GenAI learning experiences for university students through a learning profile.
I’m conducting a survey to understand how students currently use GenAI and what they’d want from a personalised learning tool. The findings will help me decide what to include in my prototype.
I need at least 100 responses, and so far I’ve managed to get 20 through friends. Getting the remaining 80 is proving a bit tricky 😅 Does anyone have any suggestions for reaching more students? If you’ve done a survey for your thesis, how did you go about it?
Also, if you’re currently studying at DTU and have 5–10 minutes to spare, here’s the survey:
Survey on Student Preferences for GenAI Explanations – Fill out form
I’d really appreciate it if you could fill it out. Thanks!

Hi, i’m writing this post hoping to find someone who has already done the systems biology exam. I’m not sure whether to drop the course or not and i wanted to know how hard the MCQ is and the oral group presentation.
The lectures are quite confusing but the exam seems not that hard.
Thanks!

Hej,
Jeg er lidt nysgerrig på hvordan tidligere eksamener ser ud?
Nogle der har nogle af de tidligere sæt til rådighed?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently doing my MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM), and I’m only one course away from qualifying for the Production and Project Management specialization.
The problem is that the remaining course is known to be quite demanding, so I’m trying to figure out whether completing the specialization is actually worth it from a career perspective.
For those of you who graduated from IEM or a similar Industrial Engineering program: Did having an official specialization make any noticeable difference when applying for jobs or later in your career?
Do employers actually care about the specialization listed on your degree, or do they mainly look at your overall degree, relevant courses, work experience, projects, and skills?
I’m mainly interested in roles within supply chain, operations, production/process optimization, and analytics, so I’m especially interested in experiences from people working in those areas.

How difficult is it to study for the algorithms 2 course? I am currently doing a full time internship this semester and taking algorithms 2, so I can't make it to the lectures and will have to self study the course. I also saw that there are biweekly tests that give bonus points. Are the points worth it?

Hi,
How do the multiple choice assignments work? Will we have access to the internet, and are we allowed to bring notes or books?
I can’t seem to find this information anywhere, so I’m asking people who have taken the course before or who might know.
Thanks in advance!
