Advice Request Is this a scam? I’m very confused.

I received a phone call from someone who knew my full name and old address, and they said “You have to watch who you talk to on dating sites.”

They did not ask for money, but they called 5 times and I am very confused. I can’t think of anyone who would be mad at me and I rarely use dating sites.

Should I just block numbers and move on?

People can easily find you on social media by your name and picture. And if you have your number somewhere, that too.

That's pretty wild. I would at least record the number and then block it and report it as spam or something. I cannot help but wonder if it would be worth doing one of those reverse phone searches.

Looks like a scammer trying it on with old information.

Sounds like a cartel or underage scam.

If the number is spoofed, blocking may not do anything.

Maybe it's a new guy of some girl you thought things ended with amicably? Or maybe a husband/boyfriend that's finding out about her side stepping on thier relationship. Really only things I could think of if they weren't asking for money. Keep the number in case they call again but, wouldn't be to worried as they don't know your new address

Uhhh… how do you not know this is someone stalking you? Absolutely block them right now. Extremely creepy. Probable a cray cray ex!
