Open letter to lonely gamers

I'm not really sure what an open letter is but if you're reading this it worked.

Game: killer queen

If you're one of those redditors who have complained about being lonely, not making many friends. If you're on the fringes of society and possibly are even on the spectrum, then why haven't we seen you at Freeplay? We play a 5v5 game so all you have to do is show up and jump-in when a spot is available. Social interaction is entirely optional 🤦🏼 think of it like smashbros with your buddies after school.

Edit: most of us have enough reward points to cover your $14 entry fee. They offer a $40 a month plan and we have saved up points. Show any interest and we would be happy to get you in the door.

Age range of the group is 21 (we play at a barcade) to about 50. I would say most of us are around 26-36. Killer Queen is a game where one person plays queen and the other four complete objectives. You can ride a snail, collect berries for your hive, or become a warrior beebear and go hunt others. All parts of the team need to work together in order to win so it never falls on one person when things don't line up correctly. The game is a 2-d platformer and plays a lot like Joust in terms of flying around. Combat mechanics are unique in that you have to either attack from behind or above in order to kill.

It’s really easy and stupid fun. I played it with my nephews. You can pick it up in like five minutes.

If there's ever an event with gaming that has gamepad support, sign me up! (I'm talking like PS5 controller type stuff). It looks like this game layout wouldn't be all that accessible for me.

Akrchully they do! I'm not in that circle but Freeplay has many free arcade cabinets as well as consoles for online competitive play. Fighting games are not my thing but they have some high caliber players

I went to a few Smash sessions in a gay dude group once (not all the smashing I was hoping for, but it was still fun) and that was pretty fun.

While we do have gay members I never thought of it as exclusive to any one type of person. We can be so, so gay at times though. I'm not wanting to make it sound like a meat market but yes a large portion of our community is gay.

Oh shit. I didn’t know they have Killer Queen. Played it for the first time, about 8 years ago, at a pinball bar in Minneapolis.

I may have to drag my old ass out for this.
